Euclid's Elements is MY bible!

And those of you who are:  What the fuck is wrong with you?  A slip up here or there like forgetting to bring your drink after a match is acceptable, but come on, there was all sorts of garbage left everywhere, including an entire wrapper from a sandwich nobody threw away until I got there hours later.

You can always count on a good number people in such a large crowd to be either ignorant or conscientious assholes. I think that the best solution is exactly how you proposed it: The mature people who are willing to put in some extra effort should pick up other people's trash. How sad.

Ray: In regards to taking a hit, perhaps you could post how much money you're out, and then those willing to help you break even can make a donation? If everyone chips in a buck, I'm sure you'd be able to recover. I'm more than willing to donate, so let me know if this is a sound plan to you.

While I am very touched, Sunday helped me recoup some of my losses.  I am not in such a dire position that I would take donation, though, again, I am incredibly thankful for the kind gesture.

That said, there is nothing that is 100% perfect, and though there are things about being a TO that are rough, its because of the type 1 community that I keep coming back to it over and over again.

Once again, thank you, but I assure you there are better uses for your money.

Well, the problem is that you can only take losses for so long before running these events no longer becomes realistic. I know that nobody wants to feel like a charity case, but we're all in this together, so there's no reason why anyone who cares about keeping these events going wouldn't chip in a few bucks.

These events are for the community. You're doing the work by spending your time and effort to put these things together, and if you're having to pay in addition to that, it just isn't fair. I'm sure there are better places I can spend my money too. I mean, after all, we're talking about Magic here. However, it's not as if anyone is being asked to dip into their mortgage payments. We all spend money on our hobbies, and pitching in a few bucks to keep our best tournaments alive is money well spent.

In any case, it's up to you. I just don't want to see these events go under.

I'm jealous.  I don't have these awesome Waterbury events where I live.

Minor nitpick for SCG:  All the lists with multiple Gush read as not being legal in Vintage.  Thanks for typing them up Moxlotus!

Ok, so now I'm home for the next few weeks --aka--I HAVE INTERNET SERVICE!!!!!!  I got a number of lists typed up in Iowa City and should have the rest up and online soon.  They would be up sooner, but Firefly is a kick ass show!

edit:  Jeez you guys--couldn't you have come up with some better variety of decks or lists?  I just typed up like 5 GAT decks that had maybe a 2 card variation.  Makes for a very boring typing session.

Also, in the future, anyone who writes "my list is card for card the same as [insert person]" will be shot in the face by a stealth team of rabies infested dingos.

If the lists are the same, can't you copy and paste?  Sounds like it would save you some time overall =]

The way the program is set up, it is a hassle to go back to decks you already posted and copy/paste.  It is also very tedious when you do not know for sure if subtle differences like fetchland counts will be the same and have to look throught he paper decklist, then look through the typed decklist.

the copy/paste for this tournament is:
black lotus
ancestral recall
time walk
mox sapphire
mox jet
mox emerald
4 brainstorm
4 force of will
mystical tutor
demonic tutor
vampiric tutor
4 merchant scroll

EDIT:  My goal is to have all of day 1 completed by the end of tomorrow night.  I have about 80 done.  Hopefully I'll get off work at a reasonable time tomorrow and finish it.  Day 2 will be done by the end of the week--hopefully.
