Proxy limit is 15.... Please follow StarCity's Proxy guidelines... In terms of the TBA 2-4 prizes, once I know for sure I will list them. Trust me when I say, they will be good... If anyone has run the numbers (and I'm sure they have..) $25 x (Guaranted at 25) 25 is $625. That leaves an awful lot for prize support (We have a good bit of swag to choose from). Myself and the owner of the shop are working out prizes this week. The last Pittsburgh Meandeck Open was a lot of fun..Very, very diverse metagame and some friendly players. We had a very good showing (even though the weather sucked, snowing)This time around I expect to see a lot more faces. In addition to the tournament, we chose Saturday so that we can go out afterward. There are a ton of really great hot spots (including Primanti's) and it will be a chance to relax, unwind and throw back a few with fellow Vintage die hards. If you have any questions, you can either post here or email me at Bkeil@aii.edu

Thanks for listing the proxy limit. (Was it there before? If so, I didn't see it and I apologize.)
I am almost certainly coming to this event. I can't wait.

No, not this time. It is only a one day tournie. We did this for a number of reasons. #1 Attendance the last Sunday tournie, not so spicy. #2 This gives everyone a chance to come out with us after the tournie for a night of fun with no worries of playing cards with a hangover. #3 We were able to offer better prize, ie. power This should prove to be a GREAT time. I have been getting a ton of emails about this and it seems attendance will be pretty high. I know we have a good number of folks coming from Ohio, any others traveling?

So should I bother making the trip up now or not? Also, why the change? I would venture it has something to do with the store wanting too big of a cut, but that's just a guess.

Yeah, I'd sort of like to know whether it's still worth the 5 hour drive + cost of gas.

So you guys can see why we no longer support this tournament. 45+25+11+11=92% They insist on taking 8% of the cash and we had originally agreed to redistributing the full entry fees to the winners. This distribution is actually A LOT better than what is was when we decided to cancel our support, so I guess that's something...
We're working with a new venue now for future events that will be more friendly to the players. It's also just a nicer place in general.

It's our thoughts exactly... We were really jonesing for a vintage tournament. Once all of the details are ironed out with the new venue, we will post it here. We did not want ourselves associated with a poor event; I am sure that everyone will be MUCH happier with how things will be run from here out.
