The real answer is "B", but it will feel like "F" after you humiliate Becker in front of the entire southern Vintage community.

haha GOT EM!

and i disapprove of applebees but whatever.  theres a really good mexican place down the road about 8 minutes if we can get done by about 8:30.

I propose we play out the finals at Applebee's like the Central Coast Championship back in 2004.

You jerks.  Do you know how big of a head Eric is going to have with that damn trophy?  Every time he comes home, he'll be carrying that thing around whereever he goes all thinking he's some big cool guy or something.  I'll be like "hey guys, guess what I did today" and he'll be like "I dont' know, but I bet you didn't win this bigass trophy!"

 Very Happy

Only allowed if he shows up to a Midwest event with it in tow.

Answer to Cary Cup Fact #1: b) My mom's yoga block

I think it was greenish.

Garret Wiley receives 1 Vintage Foil!

Cary Cup Fact #2

Eric Becker's finish at the first Cary Cup + the number of 'tap' symbols on the Cary Cup + the number of MTG cards used to make the Cary Cup + the number of Garrett Wiley's top 8 cut appearances at Cary Cup events + total number of swiss rounds played in Cary Cup events = ???

Winner receives a Vintage Foil!

I'm beginning to think you have some unhealthy obsession with Eric Becker.  Are you secretly stalking him as well?

I'm beginning to think you have some unhealthy obsession with Eric Becker.  Are you secretly stalking him as well?

I frequently see Cody sitting in a parked van across the street from my house at nights. At first it kinda creeped me out, but now I play pranks on him. For example, last Saturday I paid the neighborhood kids to throw waterballons at his car to distract while I jacked up the van and stole one of the rear wheels. The entire wheel! Cody didn't notice until he tried to pull away. The van wasn't moving at first so he gave it some gas. The jack tipped over and the rear end just dropped out. He had to get it towed.

The best though was the night Cody feel asleep in the van so we ceran wrapped it so the doors wouldn't open. We left one of the windows cracked open and dropped in a bunch of snakes inside then violently shook the van until Cody woke up with a bunch of pissed off snakes. He was screaming and jumping around for a good 30 seconds. Eventually he tried the doors, but they wouldn't open. After about 5 minutes of flat out insanity he had opened up the moon roof and climbed out. I'd post the video on Youtube, but I think it'd get taken down for being too graphic.

I only stalk him to get inside information on what decks he's playing and what new tech he has... thats it. It's not unhealthy or obessive. It's not my fault he gets his best deck ideas late at night after beating off to gay animal porn.

also, on a much more serious note, i need to know when people will be available for tourneys in August.  the tow dates available are august 2nd, august 16th, and september 6th.  will be polling at the tourney for best dates, and for what prizes we can do.  i think i have a source for power pieces and old staples, so we can do cash or prizes.

poll time!  also, people please pm me answers here.

PS-- I vote entire top 8 is done at applebees?

If the event is in September and I'm still in Durham, I could go. Otherwise, probably not, although I might be able to make an August 16 event date.

12.

Eric will place second, but I will take home the cup. I love the idea of the finals being played out at Applebees. That's fucking hilarious/awesome. "Alright, Dark Rit. Necro?" "Let me take a bite of cheeseburger....yeah, that's fine."

GWS vs. Arsenal....hmm wonder who wins that one.  Very Happy

EDIT: Cody, I don't know how stable the actual cup part of the trophy is, but as an additional perk, the winner gets to pour his drink into the cup and drink out of that.

I highly recommend putting a plastic cup inside of the Cary Cup so you don't drink spray paint Smile

Will you be supplying the plastic, or should I bring my own?

d) 26 for me. I don't really have a basis as I don't have all the variables. I originally thought the answer would be like 38 since I intuited that Becker's place in the first event had to be in the upper 30's, but apparently I was wrong.

Bad news.

OT is mandatory in my office this Saturday. Considering I was on vacation all last week I might not be able to get out of it.

Go postal, and then it won't be a problem.  This makes me somewhat sad as I have been testing against your long and magus decks for a while now.

The Cary Cup will be mine!

Wait... it is mine...

I'm looking forward to drinking the sweet taste of victory out of that spray painted goodness.

EDIT: Oh, and I guess C) 20

Answer: g) 22

Eric Becker's finish at the first Cary Cup (4th Place based on swiss standings) + the number of 'tap' symbols on the Cary Cup (0) + the number of MTG cards used to make the Cary Cup (9...5 basic lands...Duress...Brainstorm.. . 2 card backs) + the number of Garrett Wiley's top 8 cut appearances at Cary Cup events (0, he has 1 top 4 cut appearance but no top 8 cut appearances) + total number of swiss rounds played in Cary Cup events (9) = 22

No winner Sad

If people still haven't gotten their Vintage crack, come down to Atlanta on the 19th to fight Brassman and myself for Mox Ruby.
