Anyone still play world of warcraft?

I've been into it pretty hardcore since the end of last year and recently moved all my characters to the greymane server.  How many people are looking forward to the expansion?
I remember when I first started playing there was a contingent of team shortbus that played on draenor server, it was where I made my first character.  If I remember right triple S and david allen both played there.

I've played sinse the creation of BWL, but recently I stop playing because the game got really repetative, and our 5v5 team fell apart.

About 1 Month ago I started playing an unoffical server, and this past week I reactivated my account to pvp.

I really avoided arena like the plague for a long time but It is more and more becoming a judge of your skill over pve accomplishments so I figured I better get with the program. I just started doing 3v3 a couple weeks back with a few alts in the guild, it should help me get started on some arena gear.  It only took a few days to get all the season 4 honor gear.

I am currently trying to get the lowest possible arena rating in 3's, because I am tired of it.  We wear tuxedos, and fight one at a time. We actually won a match like this.

Pre-BC I raided casually, beat MC-ZG-BWL, never stepped foot in Naxx.

The battlegrounds now are stale, I would trade this account for mtg cards now, I am not into it anymore.

I just started playing again on Mannoroth with a Blood elf Pally.  Blizzard, in its infinite wisdom, decides to initiate the recruit a friend program like 3 days after I signed up, denying me the 3x experience bonus.  However, if you send a recruit email to yourself: 1. Make a new account 2. Make a  level 1 and die 3. Make level 1 follow you= 3x quest experience.

I started playing on gorefiend pre-bc with Samite Healer and leveled an undead mage. Post BC I moved to ravenholdt and leveled a BE mage (couldn't xfer my undead mage because it was a new server), guild fell apart, so I went back to gorefiend. Eventually I moved to Muradin/Alliance to play with Travis and Hatchman and made the above characters.

I quit raiding since my old GM was comperable to RandomMiser in temperment...mostly farming gold waiting for wotlk to hit and getting back into MTG again (t2 and block since I sold off my juice a while ago)

Sadly, it looks like they killed off the level 1 3x exp on quests trick, managed to get myself to 60 in 2 1/2 days, went from like 35 to 60 in 1 day played using the trick.

I've been playing in the beta, and I am impressed with some of the game.  The public quests are fantastic, and the fact you can level by doing pvp scenarios is a great addition.  I have had several "beta" sessions at my place where my friends would take cracks at it to, and they are all on board so far.

Pros- public quests, rvr scenario, actions points v mana, quick leveling and tomb of knowledge

cons- graphics (so far), choppy melee combat, AI of mobs

they are doing a lot of work though.  I give them props for how far they have come.

Played pretty casually in the beginning, just because a few friends played. Then we all got really into it when one had to move away. SR opened up free server xfers and most of them "transferred" to another server because they got sick of the constant crap-fest that is Stormrage (crashes, login problems, etc.). I stuck around with my wife and a good friend because we didn't feel like leaving to another server and finding an all new guild.

Man, it's been awhile since a WoW thread was on TMD!  I will have been playing for 3 years now come December, and I'm sad to say it's been infinitely more fun for me than Magic has become.  After months of playing I found out that I had actually been playing on Gorefiend with CrazyCarl and Liz until they both quit/transferred.  I stayed on Gorefiend with my UD Mage Greywolf for almost 2 years and then transferred to Auchindoun to raid with RL friends last January.  The GM sold his account and we wound up disbanding on a good note in April after most of core players stopped playing for one reason or another while working on Brutallus.  Interesting enough, our guild was named after a Magic cards... <Recurring Nightmare>

Not sure what to expect from WotLK, but I'll play it when it comes.  From what I hear, they are on the right path but I hate how they are making it extremely casual for players.  The T6 badge gear is a joke and they need to reward endgame players again, if at least giving us one or two ridiculous items or something cool for beating the game or whatever.

If anyone gets bored, I love to theorycraft with Mages.  ALL MAGE ALL THE TIME 4L!

I recently server transferred to Cho'gall with my guild, and man is the lag absolutely ridiculous!  We can barely raid anything on Tuesdays because the instance servers are completely overrun, and fights like Loatheb are absolutely impossible with no window to heal.

In any case, I had to change my name.

I just quit my top 40  world guild last night because they decided to exploit 3 drake sartharion 10 man with a few priests to get the achievement.

Wow, that is pretty entertaining Travis.  What's also funny is that I called my buddy up the other day to see what was going on with him since he transferred off my old server (Auchindoun).  He told me he was on Greymane playing in a top Horde guild and that they got the exploit from the Alliance GM (something about how his Horde GM was dating the Alliance GM or whatever) and that they exploited it at 2AM.  By 7PM the same day I told a priest in our guild and he tried it, but they had fixed it by then.

A lot of good it did me, I can never raid on my shaman again in any progression guild.  The rep on that character is completely destroyed.

At least now I can play this piece of shit game a lot less and get back to making some mad cash at blackjack with all the student loan money I'm getting in february

Why do you say that? You could probably get a name change and transfer almost anywhere with your skill and gear.
