Venser's a chase mythic if I ever saw one.

30 bucks in no time

Because its a planeswalker?

Because if you have a wall of omens in play, it says "+2, Draw a card"

Elspeth Tirel  3WW
Hard to gauge.  It can kill all creatures every other turn...so very Mageta the Lion on that front.  And it's a one-sided Wrath since you'll put it in a dedicated token.  Question becomes if a token deck will be viable outside this card.

Goes into Isamaru EDH without question.

This is a short list of the original text the designers wanted to put on Venser.

+2 Draw a card
+2 Look at the top three cards of your library, then put them back in any order.
+2 Put a -1/-1 counter on target creature
+2 Reset loyalty (Sarkhan the Mad?)
+2 Steal back target Mind Controlled creature
+2 Put a 0/1 green Plant creature token onto the battlefield
+2 Attack for 2 with a Mulldrifter, then Draw 2 cards.
+2 Blink Venser, Shaper Savant and regrowth a counter spell every turn until you ultimate.
-1 Attack target player with poison counters
-1 Attack target planeswalker
-1 Attack for lethal
-1 Connect with Swords
-8 Scoop

They consolidated it to the current wording for practical reasons

Goes into Isamaru EDH without question.

The drawback being you can only wrath once, since it destroys all non-land & non-token permanents.  He kills himself.

EDIT: oops I missed the word "other"...guess he is pretty solid.

Karn won't be in this set, it will be in New Phyrexia or the other one.

Here's my speculation for Glimmerpost:

Glimmerpost
Locus
Enters the battlefield tapped.
At the beginning of the end step, if you control no artifacts, sacrifice Glimmervoid.
T: Add one mana of any color to your mana pool for each Locus on the battlefield, Glimmerpost deals one damage for each mana added this way.

That would mean tapping 2 glimmerposts would deal 4 damage and tapping 3 would deal 9.

edit:
way too overpowered. Trumps city of brass by a fairly large margin.

MaRo just said that Scars of Mirroden will be a poison set.

Like, lots of poison.  Drafting will be a nightmare! (overpowered fun nightmare!)

The set also looks to have a cycle of spellbombs, the first of which spoiled is the white version.  I will be curious if any of these will have the power level to be singletons in vintage bomberman or the hybrid that won minneapolis legacy 5k a few weeks back.

They are templated a tad differently.

Nice play Troy. Can you eat Wurmcoil Engine AND its tokens for Phyrexian Dreadnought? How does this work with the rules?

No, sadly, that won't work. There's no time for the tokens to come into play after eating the Engine.

According to everything I have read, you cant pay for necro or bargin, or even pop a fetch. Thats at least what most of the posters in the thread spoiling it seem to have said.

Yeah his reminder text specifically says "You can't pay any amount of life other than zero."

Grand Architect is pretty exciting. He's a lord, and 1/3 is often better than 2/2. He also turns all of your blue creatures into mini-Workshops. I'm not sure he'll see Vintage or Legacy play, but he certainly has a high enough power level to do so.

Just to clarify, it taps for 2 mana.

also:

I started playing tourney Vintage during Mirroden block, and Mirroden shook thinks up for sure.  I think Scars is still just scratching the surface here.

the Grand Architect looks like it could be used for some shenanigans with REB/Pyroblast ? Perhaps adding Karn to the mix ?

Maybe mix with this guy for some really high cost artifact activations:
