Type 1 on Long Island for a jet Oct 19

TC22 would like to announce for the first time on TMD our Long Island tournaments
We try to hold monthly events and this is our first that we are announcing on TMD


Where: The Comic Book Depot
    2847 Jerusalem Avenue
    Wantagh, NY 11793

When: Oct. 19

Time Reg starts at 12 Round 1 will begin around 12:45

Cost: $25
 
15 proxies All proxies must be clearly marked.  Deck Reg sheets are not required but are gladly accepted when results are posted. 

 
Prize first unlimited Mox jet regardless of attendance 
Second: 1 Underground sea 1 tropical island (unlimited) also regardless of attendance
Third and Fourth are TBA and will be based upon attendance

We are also looking at holding a big event in the future possibly the beginning of 09 so please come out and support us

Apart from needing to venture onto Belt Parkway a little to get there, this looks like it might be feasible for us.  I was toying with running an event that day (or that weekend, anyway), but I guess I'll hold off.

How did this event pan out?

There was something like 11 people. 1 Goblins, 1 White Weenie, 3 5c Stax, 1 Ad Nauseum tendrills, 2 Slaver, 1 Grim Long, 1 Dredge, and 1 Tezzeret Painter.

I ended up winning the Jet with the Tezzeret Painter list, loosing only 1 match to stax.

Not quite the turnout you would hope for, but if these events continue to be held I could probably attend next semester, or I could possibly come this semester if you go to unlimited proxy.

The turnout could have been better, and we had some people come up the day before thinking the tourny was that day and they didn't want to make the drive back here. The people who run the event are trying to hold one once a month, possibly in a store larger than the one we held this one at.
