See any Mox Opals? I doubt it makes the cut in Tezzeret. I'll probably be there next week. It'll be a bit hard for me to make it before 7:15, though....

I'm experimenting with mox opal in tezz. But as you can see, I did not top 4. I'll try it a little longer before feeling certain I gave it every chance.

1st Matt Orfanello - TPS 2nd Stefan Elsworth - Riddle Me This 3rd Bill Rosa - Planeswalker 4th Chris Roberts - GAT
I came in 5th on breakers with GAT. I look forward to trying Riddle Me This. It certainly has a way of handling the mana flood that GAT has to deal with.

For the curious, "Riddle Me This" contained (among other cards) a number of Riddlesmiths along with the Gush/Fastbond engine to eventually win off a Brainfreeze. I'm pretty sure I saw a Helm of Awakening to go along with multiple tops.
Another interesting deck I saw was a deck that used a combination of Skullclamp, Gush, Bloodghast, Lotus Cobra and Fastbond to Tendrils out his opponent.

Well, there are 2 ways to tell brassman made that deck A) He wrote about it in his article and even more obvious B) stefan was playing it Glad to see there's a lot of different deck floating around. Much more interesting than seeing the top 4 consist 90% planeswalker and the rest TPS and bomberman

10/11/10 Results
4th - Adam Brennan - Merfolk
Congrats Matt. Any info on this list? Specifically, did it play Null Rod, Aether Vial, Jace, Stifle? Was it a Legacy port?

Vintage is a lovely format, it's too bad so few people can play because the supply of power is so small.
Chess really changed when they decided to stop making Queens and Bishops. I'm just glad I got my copies before the prices went crazy.

Congrats Matt. Any info on this list? Specifically, did it play Null Rod, Aether Vial, Jace, Stifle? Was it a Legacy port? Aether Vial, Ethersworn Canonist, Master of Etherium, Etherium Sculptor, Ankh of Mishra, Vault/Key, Divining Tops, Force of Will, Spell Pierce and a mix of cheap blue draw spells were the base of the deck. I played against 3 combo decks and beat all 3 (although if one player hadn't mistakenly sided out a Chain of Vapor I would've lost). I think the deck has potential, and if I were to play it again, I would change it up a bit - possibly adding Null Rod over Vial and more counters and/or draw (Daze?). The mana base had no Strip effects, going for Factory instead. I also played only one Mox Opal and would play more (it was active every time I played it). The sideboard contained a mix of hate - relevant cards were Meddling Mage, and Leyline of Sanctity. I mostly sided out Ankhs (bad vs TPS) for Mages.

Aether Vial, Ethersworn Canonist, Master of Etherium...
Sounds interesting. Embarrassingly, I have to clarify that I was asking about the Merfolk list.

Nick posts on occasion, but I can tell his list contains (among other cards): Liquimetal Coating, Gorilla Shaman, Goblin Welder, Manic Vandal, Pyroblast/REB, Simian Spirit Guide, Magus of the Moon, and my personal favorite - Mogg Salvage.
