BTW Owen Transmute Artifact is off-the-chart good. You just need a better build that can harness the inherent power of such a broken card .

Owen!  Great deck so far!  Terrible manabase!  Just atrocious!  But the deck's really solid.  White may have to be cut...  Ugh.  Maybe Duress effects post v. TPS?

Owen, you're really close to my 4 color Tezz list.  Interesting both top 4 Tezz lists had MD ancient grudge.  Maybe Steve should update his composite list, because that piece of tech is definitely a top meta choice right now of the good players running tezz.

If I played Owens tez list again I would consider adding more ancient grudge.  That card was awesome all day. 

The mana base is a little shaky, but Its not really aweful.  It reminds me of legacy thresholds manabase.  If they waste a duel you just fetch out another.

And I do believe TK was the winner because he beat me in top4 and I dont like losing to a loser.

TK, any comments on your creature-base selection? Definitely some more intersting choices in Stormscape and even Vendilion Clique while eschewing more mainstream selections like Meddling Mage or even the new saucy Tidehollow Sculler. Any changes that you'd make?

Because he hasnt played vintage in months and didn't know any better, that should also explain some of his other retarded card choices.

Also the manabase was fine for me, it needs a 3rd Island for sure against stax and Moon effects but otherwise it was fine. Sure its a '5-color' Tezzeret deck but you are never truly a 5-color deck as in each match up you can easily board out 1-2 colors and make your mana requirements easier.

I just started with a Tezzeret shell and splashed what I felt were all the most powerful cards. Black for DT and Will (and Vamp which sucks but gets Key and Vault). Red for Rebs and Ancient Grudge which I feel give you a big edge in the mirror. Green for Regrowth which is just busted, Tarmogoyf, and Ancient Grudge. And lastly white for Ethersworn Canonist because Tez is supposed to be the underdog against storm combo.

Two final points which made me fine with playing the full 5 would be the fact that in the matchups where you are the most colors, they just don't play Wasteland or any mana hate. And you could just play Sphere of Resistance/Trinisphere as your combo hate but they can win past that and I liked Canonist alot since he doesn't count himself as your spell for the turn so you can run him out there and watch your opponent play into your Drains and Forces. Barring a Phyrexian Negator a resolved Canonist backed up with a Reb is pretty much game.

what owen said was pretty correct i hadnt played vintage in a month and just through together that list without testing it. i was relitively happy with most of my card choices. the worst card in my deck was deffinately canonist and got boarded out most of the day. i almost played sculler but expected more bug fish and didnt like the prospect of having to cast a dude off 2 dual lands. also by not playing sculler i felt more comfortable putting a basic plains in my deck.

Stormscape apprentice was pretty unreal all day as i thiought he would be. The deck was good and ill probably run it again with a few changes after seeing what people are playing.
