IDK why you're looking for so much credibility:  You top 8ed a couple tournaments.  Nice Job!

My Spam Slaver list is pretty loose, but it actually performed well.  I'm really digging Thoughtcast right now.

Props:
Doug for doing the big stuffs
Jay for not killing me (seriously)
Eric for stomping me as usual
Crusher for doing as well as he did with an ultra pimp oath deck

Slops:
Eric for stomping me as usual
LOL Ancient Grudge in game 2 AND 3 between Adam and Chase (by both players!)

Looking forward to next time

Dinosaur is Tarmogoyf, I believe.   I used that term when I added them to my Drain Tendrils deck in late August.

This top 8 is awesome:
'So many creatures and Type 2 cards!
Thanks for posting the results!

Also, the number of Path to Exile in lists is interesting.
If any of the aggro players have feedback about how those worked out, that'd be neat.

I was piloting the RGw Beats deck that finished second.  Since I was already splashing the white for Wild Nacatl I decided to give Path to Exile a try in the main over Stingscourger.  I definitely like it instead of Swords to Plowshares because the 11 life from Darksteel Colossus can give your opponent plenty of time that you can't afford to give up.  I also liked it better than Stingscourger because it doesn't require you to have Aether Vial to use on the opponents turn, and I haven't come to any situations where I ether want to chump block with the Stingscourger or pay the echo to keep it around to swing with.

Thanks to snowmanmiki for loaning me the deck and helping me work through the changes that were made.

Also, I haven't been playing vintage for very long so if anyone has any tips, advice, or criticism I'd be glad to hear it.

Well Chase, I would most certainly save your ancient grudges in the Tezz match up for the combo pieces. =op Other than that, while watching you play I think you did alright. The fine tune playing comes with time, as most of the "tighter" plays may seem too subjective to try and list them all here.  Hopefully you will be joining us when we post the first bazaar of baghdad tourny.

Thanks for the insight.  I realized after the fact that I was focusing too much on how that turn was going to play out and not on how the rest of the game was going to play out.  I also completely spaced on Tezz's second ability which didn't help.  At least when I make mistakes that obviously lose me the game/tournament they are easy to remember next time around.

Hopefully we'll get another carpool of people from Tucson for the next big tournament and if we do I'll definitely plan to be there.
