Arid Mesa Land T, Pay 1 Life, Sacrifice Arid Mesa: Search your library for a Mountain or Plains card and put it onto the battlefield. Then shuffle your library.
my cup runneth over. the real slick marketing plan is if they put RW, GB and WB in the big set and wait for the small sets for UG and UR sucessively. will be drafting zendy. a lot.

I bet they split them up between the sets like they did for Ravnica block.

I cannot see that happening for 2 reasons:
1) They traditionally have more space in the big set for cycles of this nature (5 is easier to squeeze into one set than 10, not to mention the guilds were why they split the duals up) 2) Out of the 3 sets that will be printed this year, Zendikar and Worldwake are the only 2 with a common theme (The 3rd set is a large standalone set with different mechanics and themes than Zendikar)

I can see this happening, fetch just rotated out so they need new fetch in the card pool for non-eternal formats.
Zendikar is the most awesome in years so far....
Edit: I just really hope that the art looks great

This has a lot of implications for aggro builds. I think most control and combo decks have all the fetches they need, but these new ones will make running basic Forests and Mountains much easier in FIsh decks.

What decks are going to use these? BUG Fish and Oath if they want to use a basic forest? No competitive deck even uses 8 of them as it is.

Anyway, I highly doubt they'll split the cycle up among the sets. Maro's quote from his article last week said, "a cycle players have begged us to print for years." That would seem to indicate they'll do all 5 at once. Otherwise, he problably would have said, "part of a cycle of cards...."

I was happy to see the spoiler of 'enemy color' fetchlands. Solves a lot for aggro control designers for the mana base. It is not HUGE news though, but that little extra that makes it very playable to splash black in GW beats for example. Other combinations are possible as well. Being able to splash more confortably does open new avenues.

Even if I still only play with delta and strand, I need to get a playset of these things. They're just too cool to pass up

even in a tezz list, this lets you diversify your fetch lands. people sometimes claim that maindecking a pithing needle and calling "polluted delta" blind is a good play. that strategy would seem to get much worse after these fetches are released.

I suppose they could just call it "Rainforest" instead of Misty Rainforest, but I like the imagery of a "misty" rainforest.

All of the fetches have an adjective followed by a noun. I agree, though, that "Misty," while good imagery, sounds a bit funny. I'm not sure what they could have used in its place that would have sounded better. "Hazy Rainforest," perhaps?

The reason is simple: When you tutor up a Volcanic off a Misty, you can start singing Led Zeppelin "So I'm packing my bags for the Misty Mountains"

Wow, great art work on these. I'm excited for this new set. I'm hoping there are some cards that either haven't been spoiled or I'm glancing over that will see some play in Vintage. The format could use a shake up.
