Personalbackfire,

I usually don't like boarding out FoW when playing against Stax but when playing with Confidants the curve seems to be to high to keep in all the expensive counters and bombs. It's very easy to die to Bobflips.

I figured you could go for the Duress plan on the play because it prevents lockpieces from resolving in a different way, and then you can keep some powerful bombs in the maindeck.

But looking at the sideboard I posted earlier, what would you recommend in place of the three Confidants? A Chain of Vapor and two Thoughtseizes then?

The problem with Duress vs. Force is that if your on the draw and they play a Resistor then you won't be able to cast Duress.  And for the best case of when your on the play you get to Duress them its not that debilitating for them.  Stax is so redundant that they'll likely just run out a different threat instead, if a Stax player is getting blown out by Duress then there prob not keeping the strongest hands.  With Force it makes them invest there turn into casting the spell and then have you stop them which is much better.  Also if they play a Resistor when you have a Mana heavy draw you can let it resolve and wait for a more threatening card from them.  Force is really the nuts against Stax and must be left in regardless to whether or not your running Bob.

@ Lennox
Well as of all sideboards they are based on expected metas. Instead of telling you what to change to Ill just point out somethings I like to have with my sideboard.

I like to have 5 Shop Slots, generall these are
2 basics
1 Chain
2 Hurks (if your running red, I would cut a Hurks for ETW)

I like to have around 5 pieces of Ich hate. Personally, I think a diverse plan is better. I also think that Pithing Needle really isn't that great. It only stops bazaar, and imo there are generally just better options.

Against Tezz, your matchup is pretty good so only having 2 slots is fine. In my testing it has shown that Thoughtseize was the best card, but there could be other options that I missed.

I usually like having a random card against Teeg.
I also like having a card against Oath. I have been playing E Plague in this slot.
I have not tested Sardistic Sacrament so I dont know how effective it is.

I hope this helps
