well..... I think my point has been proven..." The Deck " was a dud...

very few showings and even fewer Top 8's and no 1st places. Seems like i was right,

And to everyone that doubted.....action speaks louder than words, screw your giant ego's

Or, "The Deck" was never a tier 1 option, everyone knew that
Despite the fact, many people still top 8ed (with lists that didn't suck)
It had a few good runs, the meta adjusted and now it's not really a good deck choice.

That's like saying Control Slaver was a dud because nobody top 8s with it anymore  lol

I said, a long time ago "It has some flaws that will inevitably keep it from being number 1" therefore tier 2, or really not even that.

I even said "The Deck" wouldn't go very far. read my first post.

It never won anything even b4 the meta shifted, even dark times won something, and I (note I) felt that deck was below tier. Even WorldGorger

was better. "The deck" was garbage to begin with, If you played it alot one could easily see that.  It was just played because chapin "pushed it" that

it gained some popularity

Even Stephen Menedian said "Watch for this deck to do very special things in 2010" . What like fall flat on its ass?

I don't have to say anything anymore, I'm vindicated. To all those that said I sucked, my decklist was crappy, I didn't know how the deck was supposed to run etc... they can go suck my Molten Pinnacle-

I've played the deck sometimes on last year. 4 Tops on 7 tourneys. I stopped playing it when Oath became popular here, and is very difficult to suit this deck to beat Oath, MUD, Fish and Tezz at the same time. In this time I alternate it with Remora Trap to have my better serie of ten consecutive top8.

2009
Champion 10º LMV2 (5C Keeper) -6 round Tournament
5-4      EurOvino 4 (5C Keeper) -9 round Tournament
4-1-2   XXIX Open de Madrid (5C Keeper) -8 round Tournament

2010
Top8    1º LMV3 (5C Keeper) -6 round Tournament
Top8    1º LCLV3 (5C Keeper) -6 round Tournament
Top4    2º LMV3 (5C Keeper) -6 round Tournament
2-3      3º LMV3 (5C Keeper)

Maybe it is not the better deck, but you can adjust it to be very competitive in some metas, but you have to be very careful with your deck choices for each tournament. It is not like another decks, than you can run the same list tournament after tournament.

Here is the latest version I have been working with.

The Deck 2010:
Ancestral Recall
Time Walk
Mystical Tutor
Brainstorm
Ponder
Cunning Wish
Fact or Fiction
2 Spell Pierce
4 Mana Drain
4 Force of Will
Morphling
Balance
2 Swords to Plowshares
2 Gorilla Shaman
Red Elemental Blast
Mind Twist
Yawgmoth's Will
Skeletal Scrying
Demonic Tutor
Vampiric Tutor
Regrowth
Living Wish
Crucible of Worlds
Black Lotus
Mox Sapphire
Mox Pearl
Mox Ruby
Mox Jet
Mox Emerald
Sol Ring
Library of Alexandria
4 City of Brass
Flooded Strand
Scalding Tarn
Polluted Delta
Tundra
3 Volcanic Island
2 Underground Sea
Tropical Island
Island
4 Wasteland
Strip Mine

Sideboard:
Viashino Heretic
Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale
2 Gorilla Shaman
Red Elemental Blast
2 Pyroblast
Swords to Plowshares
Disenchant
Natures Claim
Ancient Grudge
Diabolic Edict
Lava Dart
Skeletal Scrying
Zuran Orb/Claws of Gix

Probably will make the following modifications: Swap 1 Gorilla Shaman from maindeck and 1 Disechant from sidebaord.  Don't want to but might have too.  Really need minadeck enchantment removal and another artifact removal.  Disenchant bypasses chalice for 1.  Would hate to wish into Shaman but might have too.  Not sure whether Gix or Orb will win out.  Gix has allot of upside in allot of matchups, but doesn't gives very much life which can be an issue.

Here is the final version I have.  I need to other stuff than magic for a couple weeks, so the list I have will have to stay as so for awhile.  I think its pretty good.  It leans heavily on balance and has two alternate paths, the ancestral recall path and the balance path.

Mystical Tutor
Cunning Wish
4 Spell Pierce
4 Mana Drain
3 Force of Will
Balance
2 Swords to Plowshares
Disenchant
Gorilla Shaman
Yawgmoth's Will
Mindtwist
2 Skeletal Scrying
Demonic tutor
Vampiric tutor
Regrowth
Reclaim
Living Wish
Crucible of Worlds
Zuran Orb
Black Lotus
Mox Sapphire
Mox Pearl
Mox Ruby
Mox Jet
Mox Emerald
Sol Ring
Library of Alexandria
3 City of Brass
Flooded Strand
Polluted Delta
Misty Rainforest
2 Volcanic Island
3 Underground Sea
2 Tundra
Tropical Island
Island
Mirrodin's Core
3 Wasteland
Strip Mine

Side: 16 cards at the moment
City of Brass
Wasteland
Red Elemental Blast
2 Pyrobast
2 Gorilla Shaman
Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale
Ancient Grudge
Nature's Claim
Diabolic Edict
Swords to Plowshares
Darkblast
Morphling
Stroke of Genius
Extirpate
