For starters I’d like to thank all the players who came down to Brothers Grim for N.Y.S.E. X.  We had 25 players show up to compete.  It was a great event, all around.  And with the coup de grace of the summer, a Lotus tournament, coming up in just two weeks, I hope to see everyone soon...

The Complete Metagame Breakdown:

Mana Drains:

UB Tezz: 1
UBG Tezz: 1
UBRG Tezz: 1

Congratulations to Ryan Fisher, and Raffaele Forino, who has now made back to back finals appearances.  Ryan had previously earned himself a bye to TMD Open 14 by winning N.Y.S.E. I, so the bye for this event passes on to Raffaele Forino.  Congrats to everyone who made top 8!

I could have sworn there was someone playing a Drain Tendrils variant at the event, which "pillar" did you put that under?

I may have listed it as TPS, but I don't recall seeing a Drain Tendrils list as I went through the deck reg. sheets.  I could be mistaken.

I will hold it against you forever and ever.  Unless you come out tonight and join us in our efforts to defeat the Axis.

BTW, I did list it as TPS, and I have edited the metagame breakdown to reflect such.

Serum Powder's still for suckers, eh Jake?

Nice to see Mykie's Night Dealings collection is in good hands. Should I ever decide to part with my 230+ Urza's Engine collection, you'll be first on my list Nick. Remember, after the creature type update, those Engines are now Juggernauts, bitch!

Looking forward to making up some ground on Mr. Gans and Mr. Forino in a couple weeks! The big decision is whether to do it with the new hotness Dark Times or go back to tried-and-true Noble Fish. We shall see!

Turbo cats maybe, its kinda hard to play FEB without damage stacking. Eating a Full English Breakfast is another story. Who's up for coming down early and eating a FEB with me?
