For a long time, TMD has been a window into someone's experience at a Vintage tournament. I'm talking about a Tournament Report, from the player's perspective. I was browsing the Tournament Report/Results thread and I see that it's populated by TO Reports. While this is a good thing; I don't know anyone who dislikes current decklists, but I miss the days where a bunch of players would recount the fun times had at a tournament. Also, the play by play of a player's tournament, how they made Top 8, where they got lucky or where they savagely misplayed is always a good read (for me). I am offering anyone who makes the Top 8 at one of my tournaments 10% off the next Blue Bell Game Day if they write a tournament report about what they played (and why), who they hung out with, how their matches went, etc etc and post it on TMD in the Global Tournament Results and Reports subforum! Blue Bell Game Day #12!
Saturday, Febuary 12th, 2011 Alternate Universes 1530 DeKalb Pike Blue Bell, PA 19422 Vintage Event Start Time: 12:00 Noon (Registration @ 11:00 AM) Entry Fee: $30 Format: Vintage K-Value: Unsanctioned, 10 proxies allowed for free. You can purchase up to five more proxies at $1 each. REL: Competitive (like a PTQ) Decklists will be required (and published). The Prizes: (these prizes are based on +/- 45 players, and will definitely go up if we have more) 1st Place: UL Power (most likely an UL Mox Jet, since I have 3) 2nd Place: A 2nd Piece of UL Power! (most likely an UL Mox Pearl... since I also have 3) 3rd + 4th Place: $120 in table credit 5th-8th Place: $60 in table credit 2011 Player of the Year Race:This event will count towards my Blue Bell Game Day Player of the Year 2011. The Player of the Year plays for free at all of the Blue Bell Game Days the following calendar year! Players can earn points throughout the year by playing vintage, each match win is worth 3 points, each draw is worth 1 point, and each loss is worth 0 points (just like the swiss points system used in tournaments). Players in the Top 8 will be awarded bonus points based on their finish, as follows: 1st place: 12 points 2nd place: 9 points 3rd + 4th place: 6 points 5th - 8th place: 3 points Vintage Side Event: Start Time: After the last swiss round. Entry Fee: $10 Format: Vintage K-Value: Unsanctioned, 15 proxies Prizes: 1st Place: Italian Mana Drain 2nd - 8th: Based on the number of players. The Blue Bell Player of the Year contest has nothing to do with Wizards of the Coast Player of the Year contest. Do not confuse the two. This one is for participants in unsanctioned Vintage tournaments held at Alternate Universes in Blue Bell, PA.

Nonetheless I am up for some serious pre-gaming at Coss's house on Friday night (keep all folding tables out of reach of younger siblings please!) and a crazy afterparty Saturday night. We haven't had one after a Blue Bell in a while.

Also this just in from one Chas Hinkle... he would like you to know he has, in fact, won a PTQ. Sure, it was a Dream Wizards PTQ, so that shouldn't count as much, but nonetheless it does.
