Stratford CT 06615
1-203-296-9961

Time: Registration: 10:00 - 11:00 am
Tourney Starts PROMPTLY at 11:00 am(To avoid a prolonged tournament, this will be strictly enforced. Latecomers will be subject to a round 1 loss.)

Dopeness Factor: (1 googol)!

Cost: $20 Entry Fee
*$5 off if you have never played in one of my events before.

Entry Fee * Number of Participants – ($50 for Free Side Event Prizes) = Total Vendor Credit for 1-8th place.
***Cash = 0.85 * Vendor Credit

Sample Prize Support based on 30 Full Priced Participants
1st Prize – 200 vendor credit or I will buy back the credit for $175 in cash + a paid for round 1 bye and Free Entry at TMD Open 15

Awesome Ray, can't wait!

Just a quick question: will the store be there this time once the event is over or will they leave early again?  Not that too many people care about vendor credit, but there probably are some out there who would prefer credit over cash.

Im poor and live outside Philly.  Solution?

Step 1: Get a sponsorship.  Go to family, friends, relatives, etc.  Request that these people "sponsor" you like you are running a relay for life or something.  Let them know that for 2 measly dollars they can get a 10% cut of whatever cash money you win.
Step 2: Find someone in the Philly area.  Do this by spamming the hell out of these forums.  Beg and plead that they help you out.  Nick Coss loves being asked.  Give them(read this as Nick Coss) a Polluted Delta to drive you.
Step 3: Get to the event.  Kick in some face.  Win a Polluted Delta.  Tell all your sponsors you won $0.

In all seriousness.  Carpooling is a great way to make the trip more affordable.  Anyone here from Philly looking to split costs.  Also, if you bring someone who has never came before, maybe you could provide them with a deck in exchange for their $5 new player discount.

I'm (relatively) poor, live outside Philly, and am looking to carpool. Solution!

This retail employee (until August 31st that is) always appreciates a Sunday tournament. I'll work on gathering some people to drive up.

Last time it took Bill Copes, yes THE Bill Copes, and a mulligan to 1 to end my reign of dominance. Who is foolish enough to believe they can stand in my way this time?

Thanks to everyone who came out - this was a lot of fun.

Question for Andy - how was flusterstorm working for you all day?  I know there was a good amount of hype around the card but never used it in testing.  Was curious to see how relevent it was.

He blew me out with it more than once. I don't know about the surprise factor.

EDIT; Wow, my wording is awkward. I meant to say that I'm unsure as to whether it was a blowout due to specific game circumstances or it was just because of the surprise factor of the card.

Farias's list is PRETTY goddamn sexy

It was a solid list.  The first time I played against it I was confused after I saw scrollthieves and volcanic islands.  He beat me before the cut and I still had no idea what he was playing.

To be honest, I didn't have too much of an idea after I played him in the finals either.

Interesting to see the list up.

Same. He totally rolled me with Magus of the Moon + Jace. Didn't have enough removal to handle both in the same deck.

It was good though I think it definitely takes some practice to play correctly, as I definitely botched it during my game with Jeremiah. It's a tricky card to play both with and against. I think the real sticking point is how difficult it is to counter. I definitely like it better than Pierce, but as my SB shows I think REB effects still have value.
