Another great tournament.  I'd especially like to thank Nick for remembering that I wanted an Imperial Seal and picking one up for me to win.  It kept me motivated all day and it was pretty awesome to win something I really wanted and that I'll get a lot of use out of.

Is that 2 combo decks and (gasp!) an aggro deck in the Top 8?  Take that, haters.  i feel kinda bad for Jason and his aggro deck, though - my deck went absolutely ape-shit against his, including a first-turn kill from my control deck.  Let's face it, that's pretty unheard of.  I hope he's not terribly turned off from Vintage because of that.  His deck was very innovative and cool (4x Kitaki, 5x maindeck REB - holy shit!).

You got absurdly lucky to beat me, Jake Gans.  The odds of you winning against me like that are pretty slim, so you better be on top of your game next time we square off!  Still- congratulations on yet another win  Very Happy

Paul, you're a pretty cool guy and all, but its going to take a hell of a lot more to dissuade Jason from playing Vintage...especially with his second T8 in a row with TPWA.

Awesome. that deck is no joke.

He knocked me out of top 8 contention earlier this year using Fleshbag Marauder.  Jason will do what Jason wants to do, God bless him.

Jason Koresko wants Necropotence unrestricted so that he can pump his Death's Shadow.  In fact, the man bought at least 50 Shadows at 83 cent apiece in preparation for Phyrexian mana.

Also congrats to Will McGroin on another MUDdy appearance!

I just realized how ironic is it that I'm a Tough Mudder now. That's the secret to my success, I've become one with the MUD.

Jake Gans is becoming kind of my personnal hero, top8ing with DRAGON in 2011 ; he got balls. (even if he get lucky, he still brought DRAGON to the tournament) Could it be that Dragon is better than Ichorid ? :O  Sweet Minus Six list - I gotta give it a try some day.

Sweet top8, must I say. Smile

It certainly helps that Jake is one of the best Dredge pilots in the area. Because of that he's been able to avoid dredge for the most part so far while playing Dragon.
