I'm sorry, I don't understand.  Vintage is dead because I gave out $300 in prizes, equal to all the entry fees taken in?  Or, Vintage is dead because only 12 players showed up?  That's some kind of weird reverse causality, I think.  Or even more confusing, because four players who are friendly and know each other well chose to split?

Nor is it productive to any kind of conversation.

Thank you for hosting and posting your tournament.  The Dredge list looks particularly interesting with 4 Cephalid Colosseum.  I'm curious how often he was able to have mana up to activate it.

Thanks for posting the lists Eric, it was good to play some vintage again. I was the dredge player. My plan was to have a good game against shop decks so I wanted a lot of lands and a lot of Bloodghasts / Ichorids. This worked pretty well as I played against Workshops twice.

@Metman I activated a Coliseum one time and it won me the game. I mostly just wanted a lot of lands and figured I would play some that were good when they weren't paying for sphere effects.

Good to see everyone!

Some of superstars playerbase are T2 superstars now, and are globetrotting.  Hopefully I will be there next month. I miss vintage.

Also, 4 names of the 12 are unfamilliar to me, so Vintage is +4. Smile

Also, LOL at the thread title. Smile

I have finals otherwise I would have joined, along with one or two others.

Right on Eric, dylan, and jeff. Not sure if I know Lin.

Like the trygon and sower jace builds. What was Ryan playing?

Must be a pretty chill Sunday for Eric....  JKJKJK, thanks for typing the decklist and posting the results.

Random thoughts: I think vintage has less variance than yugioh...

You might have played vintage with one of them before, so maybe only +3.  Wink

I don't doubt that activating it won you games.  I was curious how often it came into play and didn't do anything because you couldn't find another source to activate it.

One time I wanted to cast a bloodghast and had a gemstone mine and a coliseum. My oppenent had 2 leyline of the void in play and I had mulliganed to 2 without a bazaar. So that game wasn't going well anyway. But that was the only time I wanted to be a city of brass.
