So, the first TMD Online Invitational was a success, now I want to build on it.  With the first iteration, I wanted to find a way to get the community involved, but I couldn稚 really.

The second Online Invitational is going to be different.  For the next two weeks we池e going to take sign-ups here for anyone who is interested in competing.  Then, two weeks later, we池e going to have matches against those who have chosen to compete.  A total of 2-4 slots will be won by those who finish high enough.  The number of open slots will depend upon the number of people who sign up.

After our victors from this end are chosen, a number of Vintage ringers will be invited to play.  I don稚 have a firm date on when I壇 like to start the second Invitational, but I壇 imagine that it would be most convenient for everyone involved if we were to start it after the holidays.

Please use this thread as a sign up thread.  When your pairings are set, they値l be announced and you値l then be asked to speak with your opponent and try to set a time for the match that is convenient for you both.

Additionally, if anyone would like to film the matches and then put them up on Youtube, please do.  Meddling Mage recently posted a thread on how to do this, so feel free to read up on that.

If you致e got any questions, fire away, either here, or via PM.

Best of luck to all involved!

Additionally, if you're from Europe, please mention it.  I'd like to pair the Europeans against one another first, due to time zone issues, and then pair the winners up against the U.S./Canadian winners.

Sounds good, Rich.

My ringers, so far, are:

Shock Wave - Rich Mattiuzzo
The Atog Lord - Rich Shay
Womba - Mark Hornung
Slayn001 - Joe Brown

Love to.  Let me go download Cockatrice.

Vintage is a lovely format, it's too bad so few people can play because the supply of power is so small.

Chess really changed when they decided to stop making Queens and Bishops.  I'm just glad I got my copies before the prices went crazy.

I would definitely be up for this. I am in Seattle so I am 3 hours behind the East Coast, but hopefully that won't be a problem.

Shock Wave - Rich Mattiuzzo

Shady's back. I was wondering when he would rear his head now that U/R Landstill is a deck again.

I'm in assuming I don't get banned for saying hello to someone.

I currently count 12 players for the community end of the tournament.  Ideally we hit 16.  I'd like to then run either two eight man pods, with the finalists of both qualifying for the main event, or run the event as a sixteen man tournament, with the top four qualifying.

I now count 16 on the community end, with five potential ringers (adding Shawn Anthony.)

As things stand now, I'm going to run this as two 8 man pods, single elimination, with the winners qualifying for the Invitational.

I'm going to look for one more ringer, bringing us from five to six.  If you feel like you're a ringer, and you're interested, post here or PM me, please.

Didn't expect to have 16 guys for the community end quite so quickly, this is a great sign...

I like the fact it's single elimination.  Much simpler.

I don't want to start this until after the holidays. December is just too crazy. I'd like to start this in early January and have it done by the end of the month. It would be a one hour commitment per week that ends as soon as you lose. At most it would be three hours over the course of three weeks.
