Come check out some of Ohio's finest live on stream at http://www.own3d.tv/live/112834 .  Tournament starts shortly, and we'll stream a feature match each round plus top 8.  Also, come join the chat on the own3d site and we'll try to answer questions when possible (usually between rounds).

I have watched it. Things went unlucky for you in the last game.

Terrific video presentation, thx a lot!

And Steve picked up Gro again, nice, and even with red. Personally I like the Mastriano UBG Goyf version more for the given meta. But anyway: Good to see Dryads again on the boards.

Round 4 - Theo Limber vs. Paul Blakeley (PotPieMan)

There are 28 players, 5 rounds of swiss.  Everything will be recorded on the channel (you can view all our recordings at www.own3d.tv/TeamSerious ), and in the next day or two someone will rename them with player names, round numbers, etc. so you can go back and watch your favorite Ohio magicians.

Round 5 - Carter Hatfield vs. Justin Dewey.  Winner makes top 8, loser gets nothing.

Kind of a sloppy game from Justin and Carter from a rules perspective. Carter didn't put the artifact into the graveyard until 3 more spells were on the stack after tinker. It didn't end up mattering, but he might have wanted to sacrifice the Jet if he didn't need the mana that turn, but if his opponent had played a spell pierce/flusterstorm instead of a Drain he could have had the extra information before deciding. It's also kind of moot in that he could've just floated the mana fron Jet and then sacrificed it, but still. Justin also snapped back a brainstorm and didn't RFG it. This also ended up not mattering, but if he had gotten rid of Blightsteel and resolved a Yawgmoth's Will/Snapcaster later it could have been a big deal.

I think the online game vids can be a bit more informative. Obviously, with the IRL game the players can't discuss options and decisions. It's logistically difficult to see their opening hands/draws. There's some glare from the card sleeves that makes the cards difficult to see at certain points on the table. This problem can be exacerbated by proxies which can be hard to read. All that stuff aside, I'm still enjoying these.

Jimmy McCarthy wins it in 2 with Delver of Secrets and Tarmogoyf!

Also, I know I referred to the deck as Meandeck Delver, but to give credit where it is due, I got the deck from JR Goldberg, of Team R&D.  It is pretty much an entirely R&D-designed list (particularly Rich Shay), with my only real contributions being the Vendillion Clique (that I never cast)

However, I think Meandeck Delver Of Secrets Not Designed At All By R&D, or MDOSNDAABRD is a much better name and catchier acronym.

As Steve said, 'Goyf would have certainly been superior at that time, as it would have been immediately immune to my Bolt. The Dryad was an easy target.

A resolved Tarmogoyf at that time could have been a real problem, as evidenced by me getting completely rolled by them in successive games in the finals.

Videos are up and renamed!  Go watch your favorite vintage players battle it out and crush their foes!  Well, your second favorite vintage players, anyway, since I don't show up on stream until the finals.  But those other guys are good to watch too.
