The Grudge Match is upon us once again!  It is up to YOU, the players of the New York region, to decide who you want representing you against the far less talented teams of Philadelphia and New England!  Pick the FIVE most talented Vintage players who live in the New York region.  The three players with the highest vote totals will make up TEAM NEW YORK, and represent the region!  If anyone can't attend, the player with the 4th most votes will be put on the team, and so on.

Here are the qualifications:

1) The player/s must live in the New York region.  This includes Northern NJ and New York.
2) The player/s must be good at Vintage.  Yes, I know everyone wants to vote for your BFFs and teammates.  Use tournament results since the last Grudge Match as a barometer.  Have the player/s you want to vote for Top 8'ed recently, or perhaps even won?  If yes, then they would make a good candidate.
3) The player/s must be awesome (this SHOULD be a gimme, since everyone from New York is awesome).

Anyone can change their votes by editing their post up until Friday, February 10th, when this thread will be locked.

LET THE VOTING BEGIN!

Let the fun begin!

Nick D.
Jake Gans
Tom Dixon
Raf Forino
Greg Fenton

Edit: I'm so used to picking three, I forgot to look at the change.

Me (Detwiler)
Jake Gans
Raffaele Forino
Vincent Forino
Tom Dixon

Two important points:

1.  We've kept New England in the basement for a year now.  They don't belong anywhere else, so let's keep it that way.

2.  New York leads in Grudge Match wins 2-1 over Pennsylvania.  It's time to extend our lead...

1) Jake Gans. (He wins, a lot.)
2) Nick D.
3) Raf Forino (is he coming?)
4) Vincent Forino (is he coming?)
5) Myself (Dixon)

Edited for clarity.

I put Forino's at 3, which to me is two votes. Sorry if that wasn't clear to you.

We need more votes.

Currently, Detwiler at 6, Dixon at 5, and then a 3 way tie between Jake/Vinny/Raf. Hangley with 3, then Savage on 2. Leshen and Brady both have 1.

What I'm wondering is how any of us ever got votes over Meta World Peace, Carmelo Anthony or Adrian Peterson to begin with...

personally I feel that the only reason we have a shot  in the pick up game of bball is if melo and meta both get voted in.

It's OK.  When we hit the track and field section, we're set.  Jake Gans is going to take down Nick Coss...

I definitely will not don Giants blue, as I'm a Pats fan. Am willing to Ranger it up however.

You can't pick Adrian Peterson, he's on the injured reserve, he tore his ACL.  Though if there's an EDH tournament I hear he's a solid pick.
