The Grudge Match is upon us once again! It is up to YOU, the players of the New York region, to decide who you want representing you against the far less talented teams of New England and Pennsylvania! Pick the FIVE most talented Vintage players who live in the New York region. The three players with the highest vote totals will make up TEAM NEW YORK, and represent the region! If anyone can't attend, the player with the 4th most votes will be put on the team, and so on.
Here are the qualifications:
1) The player/s must live in the New York region. This includes northern New Jersey.
2) The player/s must be good at Vintage. Yes, I know everyone wants to vote for your BFFs and teammates. Use tournament results since the last Grudge Match as a barometer. Have the player/s you want to vote for Top 8'ed recently, or perhaps even won? If yes, then they would make a good candidate.
3) The player/s must be awesome (this SHOULD be a gimme, since everyone from New York is awesome).
Anyone can change their votes by editing their post up until Friday, May 4th, when this thread will be locked.

Can we also say that any BS "Linsanity" votes or the like will make an enitre entry not valid? Because was pretty stupid last time. Yes, I am a killjoy.

New York is tied with Pennsylvania for Grudge Match wins right now. I really want to see us step up to the plate and dominate to reclaim the lead. Come on guys, let's make this happen...

As long as you don't choose me. As was mentioned earlier, I won't. To each his own. I considered it an honor to be selected for Team New York when I've played, and carrying Team New York to an August Grudge Match win is probably my second or third favorite Magic memory. Not everybody has to feel this way about selection, and I have no problem excluding you if that's what you'd prefer. |
