We're going to have team part of the main event. More info on this will go up later today.
Also, there will be a true trophy that goes out to the winner. It will be the most ridiculous trophy you've ever seen.

Was the trophy impaled on a fire hydrant and tried to be lit on fire?

With all the extras abound, especially the high levels of organization and support (serious props), what are the chances of Twitch/stream feeds of 'feature' matches? Or of just the top 8?
This is something I know I would enjoy being able to watch.

Working on streaming, but I'm not sure if it's going to be possible. Honestly, I need help with this part of the tournament. If anyone out there has the necessary equipment and the time to do it, I'd really appreciate if they reached out to me.

A few months ago Atomic Empire was streaming a Vintage 15 proxy event, you could contact the store and see if any of their eternal players are heading up for your event and try to work something out that way. Might be a long shot, but hope the information helps.

Most of my peeps are staying overnight and playing Sunday and I am not...so yeah haha

So what's the deal with the team competition? Wasn't there supposed to be details yesterday? I need to start assembling my crew.

I am a savage who has been torn in too many directions. I'm going to put up the details today. It is straightforward and will be free with some prize support at the end.

Working on streaming, but I'm not sure if it's going to be possible.
I vote you somehow get Matt Elias to do coverage like he wanted to do a few years ago. (if at all possible)

The team announcement is up. We have some sweet trophies being made for this that will serve as the prize support. There is no entry fee. Additional prizes have been put into the random prize pool. The big addition is an HP Slate 500 tablet (found here: http://www.amazon.com/HP-Slate-500-8-9-Black/dp/B00465QM6Q). It's not a Magic card, but it's a great tablet and I know that technology prizes are done at GenCon, so I figured why not... Also in the prize pool is a Japanese Rishadan Port. I have more that will be announced in the coming 10 days.

The biggest event that I have ever run is 90 players. I would love to see this event crack that...

Just to clarify the team event. Three players per team, highest average finish?

Total points won by that team, including the top eight.

There won't be a multiplier for top eight, as I want the overall team average finish to matter most (and am concerned that one person could skew the results heavily if the multiplier effect was done incorrectly).

Cleared up the points announcement, added a foil judge Sword of Fire and Ice and a sealed Black Lotus deck box with Black Lotus sleeves to the random prize pool.

Not a problem, Kyle. We're back under 80 players. Who's lucky number 80?

I have a buddy in the Harford, CT area who would like to attend if anybody is coming from around there and has room. He's a stand-up guy, although he can talk a lot. If anybody is coming from that area, please PM myself or "poggydude" if you are interested. He will obviously be in for splitting gas and tolls.

We are back at 80 players, thanks to River Finken registering for the event.
I'm adding an altered Trinisphere and an altered Sword of Fire and Ice to the random prize pool. They're not Poxy14 alters, but they're awesome...

You should also have some recognition of the "weekend champion". The person who has the best results on Saturday and Sunday combined. It might encourage people to play in the Sunday tournament too.

This isn't a bad idea at all... The altered Trinisphere will be given away to the player with the most points at the end of the event on Sunday.

Also, we're now at 64 players. One more and we break into seven rounds of Vintage, which is what this event should be (at least). Any other takers for a pre-reg spot?
You can add myself (Garrett Rooney) and Mitchell Foley. We're have tentative plans to drive down from Boston, and at this point it seems likely we'll be able to make it. And our carpool has expanded! Please add Mike Lieberman to the prereg list as well. We're working on one more, but he's not yet fully convinced...

Before we just semi-randomly pick one based on internet reviews and proximity to the event location, does anyone have suggestions for a local hotel? We're looking for a place to crash on Friday night after the absurd post-FNM drive from MA.
