Swiss Vintage League – Zurich 9/15/13

I am not the tournament organizer and they don't seem to be putting results up here on the drain.
I'll give some rough info about the tournament which has a very interesting top8.
there were 28 players in attendance, which is fairly normal for these tournaments. 10 proxies were allowed, 5 rounds of swiss played, cut to top8.

I finished 9th after having to play the eventual winner in the last round because he couldn't draw in.
Needless to say notion thief fucked me up big time, as I was playing a gush deck similar to menendian's with some changes (-1 regrowth, -1 ancient grudge, -1 young pyromancer, -tendrils, +2 lightning bolt, +2 nivmagus elemental, +1 grapeshot, +1 gitaxian probe for 61th card).
All the games I won were won with yawgmoth's will into everything or jace. Pyromancer or Nivmagus never mattered, and it would never have mattered if it was one or the other. Bolts were nice but not enough against the good humans.

I won round 1, don't remember against whom, lost round two against UW Landstill (5th place) because I gave one game away, then won two games against MUD, both 2:0, lost against the eventual winner on good humans.

Rd 3 against MUD was: G1: i play land, go, he plays stuff into precursor golem, i untap and win with grapeshot for 20.
G2: He plays lodestone, go, i play land, go, he plays the precursor golem again, i nature's claim his team for 16 life you're welcome, then win with jace ultimate.

Rd 4: I have the mighty force of will both games, he loses. (one he has no wurmcoil followed by tangle wire and mana flood, two he has mana vault into no trinisphere, followed by mana screw. Or something like this.)

Rd 5: Notion thief hands my butt to me. I assist him doing this.

Onto the top8! Note: The monored painter is meant for being played unpowered at the bazaar of moxen Paris to try and win the unpowered prize. The humans 1&2 were the same deck, the only two played in the room. The finals was a very intense match of turn two tinker G1 and turn two tinker G2.
