Can I get at least three other people from the NY area interested in going to this? The prizes seem strong again and I'd like to visit the shop and support them. Trip is prohibitive solo though.

Really wish I could go for this, but unfortunately I'm leaving on a trip on the 14th. Hope it goes well.

I was really impressed with the turnout and the caliber of players at the last one of these events.  I'm sure some of my local guys will be interested in playing here again (myself included).

Well this is awkward. It's the same date as the NYSE Qualifier at TPG.

Which part of NY?

I live in Queens.

It's not that awkward, as they are several hours apart.

You're probably much closer to the event at TPG.

Prize support looks great but I go to all the events at TPG.  Good luck to everyone at both.

Top 8 was:

Tom Dixon UBrg WelderStrix
JP Kohler UBrg WelderStrixSlaver
Vasu B. Esper Stoneblade
Ryan Glackin Junk Hatebears
Jeremy Herod MetalworkerStaffofNin
Paul Mastriano Oath
Seth Roncoroni on Grixis
Lloyd Frias on BUG

Lloyd def. Dixon
Jeremy def. Kohler
Vasu def Seth
Glackin def Mastriano

Lloyd def. Jeremy
Glackin def. Vasu

Glackin def. Lloyd

We swapped decklists in t8 which was interesting. It definitely hurt JP because his Shop opponent knew to Chalice 1 in g1 because of the Welders, which JP had in his hand of course, but it definitely levels the playing field in terms of scouting. The structure was definitely better, though I'd definitely like to see the prize pay out a little deeper (namely 5-8) if possible. The store was stellar though, one of the best I've ever been to. Staff was great. I'll likely be back next time!

Edit: fixed names

Congrats to Glackin on the win and to the rest of the top 8, as well.
