New article today discussing the fledgling Vintage Modo Metagame.  A must read for Vintage players who are in or getting into playing Magic Online.  I will be doing more of these articles to help players keep track of what is going on in Vintage online.

Round one:  seems to have Workshops and Oath handily at the top of the heap.

I also love the way that this deckbuilder has the absolute right idea given what is going on with the Vintage metagame and is maindecking three copies of Ingot Chewer.

I also love the maindeck Path to Exile over Swords to Plowshares. So, MUD Mage, got any basics in there? Let me check, no.

Thank you for the kind words. Coopes told me he was in a heavy Workshop meta online and I advised him to move the black Oath and Ingots to main deck. With Deathrite Shaman you can exile the destroyed threat so they can't Oath it back while you Oath back your Ingot and can proceed to destroy another threat if they dare to play it. This is a very strong lock on the Mud mage.

I figured that you want to Path mainly Griselbrand and Lodestone Golem. And you don't want to give the Griselbrand 7 life, and like you pointed out in your article, the Mud pilot does not run basics.

I congratulate Coopes for his wonderful performance so far. He has been doing very well and is constantly seeking out improvements in his 5C Human version. If anybody else wants to pick it up, and wants some pointers, you can simply PM me and I will be glad to assist.

Montolio offered a split to me when we hit each other in the 3-0 bracket. I played him out and lost. It seems like he's personally a big part of the success of Forgemaster decks, which suggests they're the real deal and also the data might be tweaked by people splitting for QPs.

It’d be awesome to completely ignore all those very specific hate cards people bring against you but how are you going to do that?" - Paulo Vitor Damo da Rosa

For those intersted in another MTGO Vintage article, LSV wrote one for the mothership!

For those that don't know, Luis Scott Vargas and David Ochoa were a dominant force in our NorCal Vintage scene before they went pro. Smile
