I think it would be great if we could have a thread for MODO video vintage. Anyone know of some? Or willing to do it?

Corrected thread title.

I haven't seen anyone streaming Constructed Vitage, but twitch.tv is full of VMA streamers.

SCG writers Drew Levin and Sam Black have made (premium) videos:
DL: U/W Stoneforge In Vintage - http://www.starcitygames.com/article/28853_Video-UW-Stoneforge-In-Vintage.html
SB: Vintage Madness - http://www.starcitygames.com/article/28817_Video-Vintage-Madness.html

LSV has done some video of constructed Vintage:

One daily event with a Tendrils deck and one with an Oath deck.

There's also multiple Vintage Masters drafts.

I will be trying to do so once I get a few things squared away:

1. get internet hooked up to my desktop (room isn't wired for it at the moment)
2. figure out how to get the beta to show up in xsplit and actually show a freaking game

I'll update this when those get resolved.

Bahra streamed his 2nd Vintage Daily yesterday, hopefully he does more. He's my favorite streamer to watch.

Someone tipped Caleb Durward a set of power. He says he'll be streaming and recording as often as possible.

Currently he's playing a Deck Fayden control brew.

I'm streaming.  I set my stream to archive, so I've archived about a half dozen games.  I'm not on very often though.

thank you.

i noticed that two of my videos disappeared from the "past broadcasts" section.  how long does twitch archive?  Only a week or a few days?  That's terrible.

As far as I know I've seen people with archived videos lasting as far back as a year. There might be an option for it somewhere?

I just watched some of our game.  I was playing around counterspells that you didn't have but eventually drew into!  I've just been so cautious of Flusterstorms and Mental Missteps because they're everywhere!  That Shattering Pulse was cool though

Stephen I need to you stream some Doomsday ASAP so I can point out to Shaun McLaren how the deck is supposed to be played after the horrific videos he did for SCG. Man I ranted on IRC about that.

If I remember right the default is a week, there is an option somewhere in there to make it longer (not sure if it goes to forever though).  Many people upload to youtube for archival purposes.

I belive you can save for a long time... Some streamers have videos that are like a year back (at least).... Shame they got deleted.

Haha that's hilarious. I'm curious if anyone else has faced the "Vintage Masters Draft Deck Special". My opponent a few weeks ago literally submitted his deck from a VMA draft containing rituals and blazing spectres. Not once, but twice in two daily events.

The sad part, I almost lost a game because bob flipped a 5 mana and 4 mana spell back to back Razz

I've played it. I don't think it's actually a draft deck unless Geth's Grimoire is also im VMA. Idk, but he definitely played it against me and I took the match fairly handily.

Oh, then I was mistaken. My brain just auto went to draft deck, but it very well could of been the deck you mentioned ( though I didnt see geth's )

I streamed a little tonight after doing a run of farming 2-mans. I played a good match against a TMD'r and then... MindTwistTheRack.dec, That's when I called it a night.

Also:

I'd like to recommend ChubbyRain1, when he streams. I'm terrible about playing and talking at the same time. He is fantastic at talking through his plays and thought processes.

Heads up, Twitch is muting your saved videos if you have copyrighted music in them.

http://blog.twitch.tv/2014/08/3136/

And they're making changes to storing those videos.

Hopefully now that Google bought them it will be integrated with Youtube and automatically uploaded into your channel.

That would certainly be excellent for those wanting to share their streams and not have to worry about editing anything.

What they need to do is offer a few copyright free playlists so you can have music without having to worry about DMCAs.

I like these things you do on the internets.

Even though I cannot bring myself to pay money for virtual cards when other video games are free, the fact that there are now people streaming Vintage on Twitch makes Vintage Masters a big win for me.  Good job, Wizards!

YouTube was already integrated with Twitch, before the acquisition.

Here are some brief instructions (about getting Twitch/YouTube to archive your broadcasts) from an upcoming Streaming piece I'll be releasing on EC:
To archive (save) your Twitch broadcasts, click on Settings and then the Channel & Videos tab, and then check the box that says ‘Archive Broadcasts.’ You’ll note that Twitch says ‘Enabling this feature does not save your archives forever.’ After a certain period of time these may be deleted at Twitch.tv’s discretion, so we recommend uploading them to the YouTube channel of your choice.

To export automatically to YouTube from Twitch, click on Settings and then the Connections tab, and then click the little check mark box next to YouTube section to connect, where a pop up box will appear to authorize your credentials with the YouTube connection you wish to log in with. Once this has been saved you will automatically export to YouTube, BUT ONLY IF you have ‘Archive Broadcasts’ selected, as shown in the step above.

Eh, I don't care about the archives. I am thinking that recording videos and putting them on YouTube with better narration is a better fit for me. I'll still stream, but that's more of a fun thing to me. If they take down my broadcasts or mute it, then whatever.
