What: Vintage Constructed Where: On Magic Online When: Sunday, July 13 at 5:30PM Pacific, 8:30PM Eastern Details here: http://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/events-schedule-2014-06-30#vintagepremierENTRY OPTIONS 10 Event Tickets Prizes: Place Prizes QPs 1st 15 Vintage Masters booster packs 5 2nd 12 Vintage Masters booster packs 4 3rd-4th 9 Vintage Masters booster packs 2 5th-8th 6 Vintage Masters booster packs 1 9th-16th 3 Vintage Masters booster packs 0 * * * * * Thus far, no Vintage Premiere Events have fired, but not for lack of interest or people, but because of organization. The Daily Events last Sunday were 33 and 27 players respectively. We only need 33 players for this to fire. With just the normal number of people who enroll in the daily event and a few more, we can fire the first ever Premiere Vintage Constructed event. [Preemptively: yes, I realize this could run very late for East Coast folks, but Wizards doesn't give us alot of times to play PE tournaments - so we have to work with what we got!] Assuming one doesn't fire this Friday or Saturday, the winner would forever be known as the first ever Premiere Vintage Constructed Online Winner! I will be playing in this, and I hope you will be as well! Spread the word! |

Yep sounds fun! We have been seeing 20-30 on average so its really a great turnout lately. |

This tournament will be at 02:30 a.m. on Monday [Central European Standard Time]. As much as I'd love to play, it will be 6 rounds plus top eight and even if I don't sleep at all I'd have to drop if I made it to the final rounds and go to work - the timing is pretty awful for us European players.  I wish all of you the best of luck, and I'll be 100% be looking streams from the tournament for some hours. Please just consider when "advertising" such an event next time, that maybe a premier event starting early on sunday or on saturday (if there actually are) would give the European community the opportunity to play along, and it should be many more players then. So folks should enroll as early as possibly Sunday. |

Oh well, thanks for the info Steve. I really hope this fires and will be the start of a long era of Vintage Online tournaments - then hopefully Europe can get it's premier events too.
As a side note, I think I'll be writing something on the weekend to <fill in responsible person for MODO schedule> and hopefully someone will hear me and make it possible to have some more diverse event timings in the future.

Totally agreed! Marc, if Germany wins the world cup, will you play in this and call in "sick" on Monday If we can make this a big success, I think we can ask Wizards to give us more Premiere event options. But let's support this as best we can! Final reminder! Huge bragging rights to the winner! |
