I know threads such as this have existed in the past, but I'd like to just have you post your top few cards that you believe have serious potential power in Type 1, but aren't seeing much play.
Note: I said much play. Don't go screaming because your deck has a card someone listed.
Here's 5 off the top of my head:
Zur's Weirding Obliterate Overmaster Living Wish Icy Manipulator

Interesting thread. Here some of my choices with some explanations.
Engineered Plague -This card is awesome in the board! It owns upon any deck running gobin welders. It is also good in so many other matchups that I cannot even begin to discuss it's merits.
Maze of Ith -If the 'tog player does not have Wasteland they will loose to this card. Good against random aggro
Pernicious Deed (x4) -I am aware that this card sees play in most Hulk builds as a one of but besides that I do not see it much. This is card is amazing in the format right now adn should be a four of in many decks. It destroys Stax/wMUD, it destroys TNT, it destoys Madness, The Big O etc... Much like the Plague it is so versitile that I don't understand why people are not building decks to harness the power of this card.
Smother -Another powerful card that can kill most of the important creatures in Type 1 today ( Tog, Welders, Tokens, Stompy critters). Again I never see this card used in many boards. I don't know why.
Dwarven Miner -This guy is a wrecking ball in the right metagame. He can single handedly win games if left active for a few turns. And all for 1R??

Shahrazad This card was used (abused) by playing 4 of them in the sideboard. If you win the first game, you sideboard 4 to the main deck, and you win the opponent by running out of time.....

Maze of Ith -If the 'tog player does not have Wasteland they will loose to this card. Good against random aggro While it does tend to buy some time against random aggro, Tog has more options than Wasteland and consession against the card. The easiest is to simply attack with more Togs than you have Mazes out. The un-mazed one then gets huge and kills you. The other common play is using Time Walk. They attack and you Maze. They take a Time Walk turn and attack into your now tapped Maze. Game over. And, um keeping on topic: Basalt Monolith Copy Artifact Bind

I am shocked and dismayed that no one mentioned Replenish despite the active, open Enchantress thread reminding them of the Banned-In-Extended, Yawgmoth's-Will-Without-The-Casting-Cost-Bit
REPLENISH.
That is all.
Edit: Actually, that's not all.

1) Howling Mine - more cards is usually good. Can you find a reason why your opponent might not want cards? Well... 2) Underworld Dreams - probably my absolute favorite card. When I used to play it, I didn't have any usable Draw-7 cards, so I instead decided to use Howling Mine. Also, Underworld Dreams was restricted at the time. I never won much with it 3) Time Vault - for years this card a target for abuse, from cards like Twiddle up to Voltaic Key. It's been errata'd to hell and back. I think it deserves more errata 4) Chains of Mephistopheles - probably doesn't see a lot of play because people groan when they see it and know what it is; it's not like it's a hard card to use in practice. 5) Stasis - I played with Stasis in the Ice Age block, when TurboStasis was a contender. Stasis is still really quite good, but god-damn if it isn't hard to lock a person these days. Stasis was always a slow-burner... maybe with Long.dec gone it can see some more T1 play?

1. Carpet of Flowers 2. Balance-underused in relationship to how powerful it is. 3. Mishra's Workshop-abusing the three mana in a combo deck like long, etc. not an artifact deck. 4. Tempting Wurm 5. Meditate/Accumulated Knowledge

Teferi's Puzzle Box Winds of Change Natural Order Raven Guild Master (once you've achieved board control, this helps you maintain it. There's nothing like seeing a half-dozen restricted goodies in those top 10 cards.
these are more borderline. Eureka, though, is just insanity. I can't see why that hasn't been broken yet.

Uh...off the top of my head: Eureka (I have 4, but I'm still trying to break it so it cries like a little girl (and so do my opponents) Ernham Djinn Grinning Demon (same CC as Juzam, one more P/T, one more damage drawback, 5$ cost as opposed to Juzam's 80$+) Lifeline (With Altar of Dementia, it's very, very, very evil. Try it in multiplayer. If you don't leave truly dead, you'll leave a winner ) Chains of Mephistopheles (Oh, gods. Just evil. )

After Darksteel, I think that people will start playing a lot more:
Dust to Dust. This is the only decently costed artifact removal from game effect that I can think of (other than Swords, but that's only for creatures). This card will also definitely go up in value too.
I just like Eureka, it's somehow begging to be broken.
