Another amazing event. Had an amazing time props to dave gans for being a champ. Props to jake gans to being a bigger yet smaller champ. Austin for top 8ing. And for nick running the event. Looking foward to another one in the near future. Also thanks to the man Nick Coss for putting me on tilt. I was so far on tilt i should have fallen over.

I've got nothing on you James; you have entertained me far more in the past month then any other person. For the love of god please keep showing up to events! Just remember kids, for a good time just ask James Hangley for instructions using the following: PLUS PLUS Seriously, the tournament was a blast! The most fun I've had in a long time!

Out of the last 4 Vintage events I played in, I got 9th twice, including this ;-; But those Carnival of Souls are gonna look amazing on my wall lol! ^.^
Anyway, I had a blast at this event. I really like the location too (despite it being a 3 hour drive for me.) Once my friends and I are a little more financially secure (half of us are getting ready for job interviews soon,) we'll definitely make the trip back up. Great job man!

There really is no pleasing some people... hopefully I'm not the only one that thinks its funny that my personal list of my personal favorites is getting criticized as "wrong".

Thanks to all 53 players who showed for the event today. While it wasn't as many as I had hoped for, it was still a very solid turnout. To the best of my knowledge this was the largest Vintage tournament that has ever been held in New York.
The competition was very tough, which was great to see. Paul Mastriano made an 8 hour drive from Pittsburgh to play. Roland Chang broke out his Workshops, and we were also graced with both Forino brothers along with Matt Elias, Jeff Folinus, Steve Nowakowski and others. There were two World Champs in the room, but we had a lot more than just that. If you made top 8 at this event it was no fluke.
The top 8 was exceptionally diverse, as you will all see from the T/O report. I'm going to start working on the T/O report tomorrow night with the hopes of having it up before 4pm on Monday (the start of the Yankees game).
For the time being though, it's time for me to crash. It is the end of a very, very long day...

FYI Starcity has had events in Rochester. The one in (I think?) 05 had like 100 people or so each day.

This tournament was a lot of fun. I'd certainly like to thank Nick for being an excellent host and for finding me such a nice place to stay Saturday night!
Congratulations to Jeff Folinus who beat me in the Top 4. The two that I lost were sooo close, I thought for sure my game 3 hand would win. Nice match.
I'm probabl;y moving closer to this area, so I'm sure I'll be heading out to more tournaments in the NY area. I'll see you all at the next one.
