Name: Colby Christian Moore Age: 19, 20 on September 13th, 2004. Race: Caucasian Height: 5'8" Weight: 140-145 lbs. Set Started Playing: RIGHT BEFORE 4th edition came out. Power owned: 4 Italian Drains. 4 Revised Volcanic Islands. A.K.A. none. First card ever seen: A revised Jump. First card ever marvelled over: A revised Fork. First card ever loved: Serra Angel. First combo realized: Stasis/Kismet: I also had some weird Living Artifact Combo going, in a white/blue/green deck I threw together. Ivory Tower was the BOMB. I played my brother for like, 6 months before I played anyone else. First card I thought was overpowered: The COP's.
Favorite Color: White, with blue in a close second. Favorite Set: Alliances, with Fallen Empires coming in at a close second. Favorite Edition: Unlimited. (I like white bordered cards better.) Favorite Card: Nevinyrral's Disk. Favorite Card Ability: On-Top-of-Lib's Memory Lapse, Chittering Rats, etc. Favorite Card Quote: Part Water. Favorite Card Art: Blood of the Martyr, HANDS DOWN. Favorite Artist: Christopher Rush, HANDS DOWN. Favorite Deck: U/R/B Landstill, in a HEARTBEAT.
Most Hated Color: Green, with black in a distant second. Most Hated Set: Darksteel, by far. They're struggling for new mechanics. Modular. Pshh. Anything which relies upon counters = gay. Most Hated Edition: Eighth. What, did counterspell accidentally just get left out like Volcanic Island in Alpha? It better have, because Wizards better not be intentionally doing crap like that. Screwing a color over. Keep giving blue the shaft, and I'm gonna give you the shaft, WTC. Most Hated Card: Naturalize. Naturalize is the wannabe disenchant. Most Hated Card Ability: Ring of Ma'ruf, the Wishes, outside of game crap. Most Hated Card Quote: Tormod's Crypt. Most Hated Card Art: Myr Enforcer. He looks like a special-ed retard. Most Hated Artist: Tie between all the Mirrodin/Darksteel future crap. Most Hated Deck: Dragon, or any infinite-anything combo deck.
I live near Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Yep, that's right, no tournaments. I play Landstill. Currently making a U/R/B build. B for demonic/vampiric tutor and yawg's will, with perish and mind twist in the sideboard.
I remember meeting a bunch of kids that played magic. At first, they whomped me, but when I started buying issues of Inquest, and seeing what stuff was rated in their overall magic card index, I started making a deck with only 5 star ratings. I had a deck centered around Icy Manipulator, with 4 Sol Rings, 4 Black Vises, 4 Ivory Towers, 4 Howling Mines, WOGS, and Winter Orbs. Indeed, it would have been slaughtered by Shatterstorm, however, apparently no one knew about that card except me.
My next greatest deck was an extended version of Counterpost. (When Extended went all the way to Legends.) Counterpost was THE BOMB.
Now I'm just playing Landstill and some Isochron mono-blue control. It's pretty good with arcane lab. (The Isochron Control, that is.)

I'm Stephen Menendian Law Student at Ohio State University. I work for The Kirwan Institute on Race and Ethnicity, have a personal Website (in my signature) where you can read my essays and movie reviews and even dream journal. I also write for Starcitygames and you can find my articles here: http://www.starcitygames.com/pages/articlefinder.php?keyword=Stephen%20MenendianMy favorite card of all time is Moat and my favorite set is Alpha/Beta although I think The Dark has by far the best art and Alpha/Beta has by far the coolest design (so dark!). I like Moat becuase it totally negated so many strategies and was awesome like that. I love to crush dreams. My favorite creature is Smemnarch (obv.). My favorite deck of all time was Long (becuase it was the most broken). Stephen Menendian

My name is Wouter Dhondt, 27 years old. I live in Beveren-Leie Belgium. Not married yet, but that will change soon if I ever have the balls to ask her . I'm a Software Engineer (embedded systems). I started with revised and quit with homelands (that was an awful set!). My friend got me playing again with the release of legions. Favourite card is chaos orb. Loved to play with that thing. I have hobbies besides magic (no really). Reading, training my 2 dogs, listening to music (breakbeat, ...).

Hi all,
I am Tony Lopez. I currently reside in Methuen MA (soon to be Lawrence MA), which is right over the border from Salem NH. I started playing T1 casually about 2 years ago, while I was still a UMass Amherst undergrad. I still enjoy the privilege of playing with some of the Hadley crowd every now and then, when I can make out there.
I haven’t played regularly in a few months, partly due to work and partly because I do not know any T1 players in the Northeastern MA area. (I noticed a new store recently opened in Salem NH. I hope it draws a decent crowd, I would love to start playing regularly again.) As for decks, my favorite is Reanimator. It’s no tier 1, but damn fun. I also love playing my blue based Zombie Bazaar deck, another bad but fun deck.
Well, that’s it for me. If anyone lives in the Northeastern MA or Southeastern NH area and wants to play some type 1, shoot me an email. Hopefully that new store will draw some chill cardboard slingers.
-Tony

HEY. My name is Austin Nadeau and I'm a student at Virigina Tech. I'm from Southern Maine and have only played casual up until about a year ago when I picked up tournament playing. I started playing around 4th edition so I've been playing for a while obviously (jeeze, ten years, I feel old). I don't know much about all of the new archetypes, I just know that I don't have all of the cards to play much other than sui. But it's okay, I like it and maybe one day I can play some keeper or something.... I enjoy the game and maybe one day I'll be a better player. Take it easy.

Howdy all. My name is Brian Fisher. I live in Illinois where the local area magic is relatively non-existant. I go to a local Community College and am just taking general classes, no major decided on yet. I live to play nerd games Magic of course and Dungeons and Dragons as well as a variety of computer games. My favorite thing EVER is my car. Of course your wondering what this mighty beast might be? Of course it is a 97 Chevy Lumina, the only thing that stops it is mud (don't ask). I know GenCon is a long ways away yet but I still can't look forward to seeing everyone there.

I'm Zach Kissane. I live in the 'burbs of Kansas City. I am a software engineer for Titan Corporation, soon-to-be Lockheed Martin. I've been playing Magic since the spring of '99. I'm also a certified Level 1 judge. As I write this, my Black Lotus languishes in the post office because I wasn't home to sign for it today. Oh, and I hate Wasteland. It's my all time least favorite card. I would be ok with it if I only had to play against it, but the fact that I, too, have to play it makes me mad. Of course, this hatred stems at least in part from the fact that I am the self-proclaimed King of Wasteland-Drawers.

I'm a Chemical Engineering student at Case Western Reserve University. I don't actually play Type 1. I'm all about casual play. I hang around here because Magic theory and card creation are my bread and butter. I've been around here for months, so I don't know why I'm bothering to introduce myself just now.
Favourite Card: Jinxed Idol Favourite Colour: Black Least Favourite Card: Morphling Favourite Format: Peasant Magic Favourite Art: Justice
Magic Moment: I was playing in a large multiplayer game and one of the players cast Somnophore. It was the only creature he controlled. At the end of his turn, another player cast Delirium on him, targetting him and the Somnophore. The Somnophore tapped and dealt its damage to its controller, triggering its ability. Because it was the only creature he controlled, it tapped itself and kept itself tapped as long as it remained in play. Funniest thing I ever saw in a Magic game - somebody's Somnophore putting itself to sleep.

Did you know that Red is the color or art and music and passion? Combine that with Green, the color of nature, spiritualism, and community and you get a hippie commune of drum circles, dreamcatchers, and recreational drug use. Let's see that win a Pro Tour.

Never actually answered this before. Oh well.
Back on the original TMD, I was Diablos8, part of Team Evolution. Now Team Evolution is gone, and Team Sexy rises. That team is better, because we are sexier.
I sat on TMD a lot, and reached up towards 2000 posts. Unfortunately, only around 20 of them were in T1, because Syracuse is a bad city that decides to hold 1.5, and only 1.5. So naturally, around 1600 posts went into 1.5. Blah at that. Too bad the 1.5 forum on the website ending up going into a downward spiral and made the website look like something from Brainburst. Disgusted with that, a good handful of us left the retarded, and the Source ended up being created, and all was well when the TMD 1.5 was removed.
Now I sit around all day, and work as an Admin on the Source. Quite a few of you "big boy" TMD'ers sit on there, and it's nice that you guys come over to the retarded little brother format.
I see it being tough for me to get a full membership on these forums, but with a renewed interest in T1, I'll see what I can do to obtain full member status.
That's about it for me. Not the usual "welcome me" post, eh?

I've been lurking for a while, but why not introduce myself now?
My name's Adam and I live on Long Island (Bellport, if you're curious). I've been playing Magic since Mirage, but I don't have much of the Type 1 goodies (including most duals). Over the past few months, though, I have traded to get a Drain as well as a few duals.
My favorite deck ever was Trinity Green, and my favorite card is Deranged Hermit.
This Sunday, I'm going to my first big Type 1 tournament in Jersey (Game Master). Thank god for 10 proxies.
I have one gripe about TMD though, and that's the fact that Basic Users cannot post in the tournament announcement/report forum. Considering quite a bit of announcements are coming from Basic Users, wouldn't it make sense to open that particular forum for all?

People posting announcements regularly typically get a Tournament Organizer account. This way, the forum doesn't get cluttered with 'ill be there' and newbish trash-talking, yet the TO can still answer relevant questions via pm and post them if they think it will be frequently asked.

Age: 20 Birth date: Jan 1st Started Playing Magic: When the last set of the Urzas block came out and when sixth was still the base set. Common Nick on message bords: Law (I used las when I started if you can find out how I came up with that nick ill give you a cookie  ) Deck working on: The aggro enchantress one (my vershon) Cards got off ebay for deck: 4 Argothian enchantress and 2 auratog (I dont know when they will show). Number of power cards: 0 Time in t1: About three mounths (going to my third turny this friday) Time I usly lose at the local t1 turny: Third round out of five. Other Hoppys: D&D Job: Still looking for one My name is Lawrence Shipman. Now I have been playing magic for at least 4-5 years two of which I hardly got any new cards (so most of my cards are at least two years old). Now im back and instead of playing t2 (dont have the cards for it now) im playing t1 (all my stuff is gone from the front of the game/there past there time in the light) instead. As time goes on I hope to slowly get the t1 cards I need to play past my local meta (im not one of the top three yet by any means). One of my little pet peaves is how some people post there decks bad format = I might not give a comment as its hard for me to make out what the deck does (also giving some info as to why and how the deck runs does help to). Im not the worlds best speller (ok my spelling is not that good at all but at least I can right in a way people can read it) but im slowly getting better. Last few months I have been looking for good mtg web sites that look like there willing to help out and not flame (and stat my deck wont work at all in any t1 turny (if you want me to point of wich thead and where PM other wise I dont care about that site anymore)) my deck. Since its by no means done and might not be for some time (its hard trading for the dual lands in a place where people get cards and keep getting as many copys of that card so other people dont have the card (funny no one in my area does power that way ). Yes some in my area has 12 sol rings and wants more for all his decks (hes plays casual so he plays with 4 in all his decks or wants to). O yes it would be a good idea as to tell you where I am. I live in Redlands CA, in the USA. The once a months t1 turny brings people from other citys to play in the local shop so we realy dont have more then one copy of a deck type in the turny and even t2 decks seam to do ok as well. I plan of being a graphic disner (Yes my spelling stinks ok) and have been slowly going to college (dont have the money realy to be a full time student yet). Well I think this has been the longest into I have made so far in all the places I have been on the web.

Well, ima write a little too! :P My name is Jonathan Cohen, and im from the little European country called Denmark. I started playin Magic when one of my friends finally convinced me to watch a game of magic, played by him and his bigger brother. I didn't really like the game at first, but now i'm half-addicted ! :D It was when the Legions edition was released, so you could call me a n00b (...)! My first deck was the Legions theme deck, called "Zombies Unleashed", and the first thing i did, when i unwrapped it, was to trade all the good cards away for alot of crap. I modified my deck, so that it actually was unplayable at last (i think about 76 cards). My friends were happy, cause they had all my nice rares, and i just took all their commons. After this bad start, i started evolving my game a bit. I Made this UG Madness/Threshold deck, when it was still Type Two, and i didnt even finish it, before i traded some of the cards away for some red Goblin-tech-kinda cards. So, i got my first real deck. Then a friend of mine, made this really cheap W/R Slide, and kicked my ass with it. So i thought "Missa wants it"! Then i traded an almost complete Slide deck, for a single Piledriver (i only had that single one). Then i played slide a bit, until i got tired of it. FINALLY, i moved outside the T2 community, when i started in this MTG-club in our town. All the other ppl were like 5-10 yrs older than me, but it didnt matter (still dont, im still in it ;) ). I made this T1 G/R Beatz deck, that i actually traded away this day today. I now have a U/G ext Madness, and im fairly satisfied with it. Although, i actually really much want to build a Gayfish deck in T1, just to play some cheap T1 ;) I'm 13 yrs old, so i haven't got job, no financial support from the government (you get that when you turn 18 yrs here in Denmark), that means i am on s VERY strict budget. I have like the madness deck, some Masti's, a Deed, a Negator and some other stuff, and thats it! :D Contact me on: ICQ: 143502396 Messenger: jaduer@hotmail.comEmail: jaduer@hotmail.comBye! :)

My name is Björn Lefevre, born 06/03/1979, living in Belgium, WAREGEM.
Planning to get wed 09/04/2005, hope it stays that way from that date on.
In real life I'm a cop, I enjoy bugging people
I started to play magic on my own (a cop has no friends, so they say) untill some guy called Eddie got wind of it and digged up his set of cards to beat me up good. Never heard of T1 till he mentioned it.
I think I'm playing the game since NEMESIS or something around that time.
Magic's a real obsession, more like an addiction really, so don't do much else, besides keeping my girl and dog happy, breed chickens, read books, play games on PC, ride a bike, occasionally run 5KM, eat (I'm a huge fan of eating), and last but not least: Trying to lose weight.
I still haven't made my mind up about my favorite card / deck. Feel like I need to build a deck of my own and not just copy what's on other people's minds... So if you ever play me, chances are I'm losing again with some random... If I ever score T8 (maybe when I'm 80) I'll tell you my favorite card.

Favorite Art: Mox Ruby Magic Memory: getting wasted in the UMass Lowell commuter cafe, and using a revised edition prodigal sorcerer to deal 1 damage to walls, doors, cafeteria ladies, slices of pizza and even at the floor after I fell down. Name: Rob Age: 21 Location: 6 months a year in Durham, UK, other 6 near Oxford. Occupation: Student, studying Physics and Astronomy at Durham University Started playing Magic: Autumn '01, when I went to Uni Real-Life T1 tournaments attended: None Hi, I've been playing T1 on MWS (largely in #O-gaming) for a year or so now, only recently got hold of enough cards for a playable T1 deck (budget U/W Landstill). I'm looking for any kind of real-cards T1 scene going on in Southern England, as MWS opponents tend to be a bit variable :-/ Decks I enjoy playing most: Ravager Affinity, Legacy Supergro Favorite Card: Shifty Doppelganger. It was first card I tried to build a deck around, card remains unbanned... for now... Favorite Format: Whatever I'm playing now! I play the local PTQs and draft most weeks, so it's fairly flexible. Best Artwork: Copper-Leaf Angel, Skyreach Manta Best Flavour Text/Art combo: Martyrs' Tomb Picked up T1 by: Reading Starcity articles and messing around on MWS Most spectacular play: In a 3-Way Chaos mulitplayer game, I was playing a silly combo deck (Radiate-Befoul-Mortivore). The other two guys had an Unglued deck and straight burn. The Unglued played Mine, Mine, Mine! and a few turns later the other player topped Sudden Impact and aimed it at my face. With 40 points of damage coming at my face, a took a few seconds to check everything before I picked up my cards I took a last look at my hand and realised I had the perfect solution... Radiate! - (the copies from Radiate go on the stack on top of the original spell, so I killed both other players with lethal damage to my face on the stack)

Name: Chad Age: 29 Location: Baton Rouge, LA Occupation: A consultant for printing sytems Favorite Card: Mindslaver (Nothing is cooler than taking your opponent's turn) Current decks: 4cControl, Ninja Mask, TriniStax, and Dragon
In this area there is no organized Type 1 to speak of; however, me and a few of my friends manage to get together every so often and play a couple of games. I own no cards of any value, seems kinda pointless since I am playing amongst friends and unlimited proxies are allowed.
Favorite Magic Moment: Playing 3-way chaos and getting infinite Mindslaver recursion. Nothing is funnier (At least for me) that beating two opponents with their own decks. Of course after the first time this happens everyone just concedes to it, so then it isn't quite a fun or spectacular as it was that first time.

In war it doesn't really matter who is right, the only thing that matters is who is left.
