Consider this post my public apology to ELD and Myriad games:

While I do disagree with their prize structure, I can not hold anything against them and I do credit them for continuing tournaments in New England for people that want to attend.

For Eric I may have unfairly attacked the amount of effort you put in to your proxies, they are a great door prize for entering and you do them well.  Dan does run the most smooth tournaments I have ever been to (besides myself of course.) Even though the prizes may be catered to a more diverse field, there are many people who enjoy that structure(As evidenced by the support you got in the community thread) and I congratulate Dan for filling that niche.

To bring up a final point, please do not post any more personnal attacks on one another in this thread and get it locked/deleted.  This is a tournament announcement for what is going to be one of the best tournaments this year, and I want it to stay active.

If someone has a personal vendetta its just that PERSONAL keep the opinions to yourself.  Someone saying their going to boycott something doesnt accomplish anything.  Hatch runs amazing tourneys and he always goes above and beyond.  If you dont feel the need to go to to attend the event, dont bother, its just one less person that will whine when they duff on making top 8.  We want dedicated players who WANT to be there to support Hatch and Travis.

I feel the topic of attacks has come to a decent conclusion and would really like to see discussion of the actually upcoming event from this point forward. Please refrain from other commentary of topics past here. -Z

I know I already said I am going to this.

However, the simple fact is...this tourney is going to be so mindbogglingly amazing...once just wasn't enough.

Accordingly, I feel the need to declare for a second time that I wouldn't miss this for the world.

Also, I'm trying to get many more to go.(Travis or Hatch...AIM me...I have an idea on how to get the word out even more)

Time for smack talk to commence.

I plan on building a really teched out Flash/Oath build, and then switching to some sort of 5c/Uba Stax at the last second just to be able to piss people off with workshop, 3sphere, go allllll day.

I'm also personally calling out Rich Shay. I think you're ahead of me 2-1 in lifetime tournament meets sir, and I need to even this account. Or urinate all over your deck. Either will do.

P.s. Steve don't try and even suggest that your win over Rich in the gencon finals took ANY skill - the most retarded kid with down syndrome could have won with your draws.

I'll probably actually come to this, mostly for the before and afterparty which usually tends to go along with such things.

We're trying to get at least a car load of players from Syracuse together.  Granted, we're Legacy players first, but we've been looking forward to returning to Vintage for a while now.

On the other hand, I don't particularly care how I do at this event, because the real win is gonna be the after-hours events.  It's been quite some time since I personally have had the chance to see a lot of the NE vintage guys, and I know that's high on the list of reasons for me to show.  Boobs being first on the list, of course.

Just got recent word(and I'm posting this for Travis) that Travis will be running the show for this completely.

Seems he and Travis has a bit of a falling out.  Seeing as how the prizes were Trav's, I don't think this should cause any issues whatsoever with regard to the smooth operation of this event.

Cya all there.

Travis just wants everyone to know this his falling out with Hatcher isn't going to effect the way the tournament is run and that he was pretty much running it himself anyway.

I'm 90% Locked in for this!   I'm stoked.   It's going to be my first magic trip since SCGx2 Richmond, march of 2006.   I'm expecting to drive to Toledo and meet up with fellow GWSer Twaun and then drive up.

it looks like LordHomerCat will be at my side, ready to smite those who oppose us.

Joe Bernier is the first official judge for this tourney.  He's a great person and a hell of a judge with judging experience at many vintage tournaments including Waterburies and my tourneys.  He regularly judges down at Arkham Asylum.  He's truly a fantastic judge.

I'm prodding Travis to try and get another judge (took me a while to make him hire the first judge :p) because this event will probably be huge, but Joe judging is a very very good thing for this event.

I'm genuinely looking forward to this tournament.
