I think you need some more content for people to give you a valuable critique.

  • elaborate more on card choices
  • explain problems you've been having with the deck
  • what are the decks strengths?

To me, some of the pieces seem counter-intuitive.

For instance:

Master of Etherium + Arcbound Ravager:  These two cards seem to greatly lack synergy in that Master wants you to have a high artifact count on the board, while ravager wants to eat your board.

Magus of the Moon + Artifact Lands, Shops, Etc:  Running Magus shuts off all of your colored mana production and the acceleration of workshop, forcing you to strictly rely on AEther Vial to pop out non-brown guys.  Has this ever had an adverse effect on your games?

What is your plan against Oath or Welder Control?

No Sol Ring or Mana Vault?

Barring the anti-synergistic elements, it seems like you've got the elements for a really fast clock.  I'd suggest cutting the artifact lands and magus of the moons for More 5-color lands (glimmervoid #4, city of brass, gemstone mine) so that you can cast all of your threats without relying solely on Aether Vial, perhaps add some strip effects and tangle wires to supplement the spheres/thorns.  Sword of fire and Ice could be great here, too.  Also, have you considered adding goblin welder to help keep your important threats on the table?

I'm the only other legal target, so I draw 6 cards, and he literally quits Magic.

Terrorists searching in vain for these powerful weapons have the saying "Bill Copes spitteth, and he taketh away."

I've been toying around with different builds of this and I think that a UW verion could be doable.
4 Master of Etherium
4 Thirst For Knowledge
4 Frogmite
3 Ethersworn Canonist
3 Cranial Plating
4 Force of Will
4 Thoughtcast
1 Merchant Scroll
1 Fact or Fiction
1 Ancestral Recall
1 Time Walk
1 Brainstorm
1 Ponder
1 Tinker
1 Mystical Tutor
1 Balance
1 Darksteel Colossus
4 Ancient Den
4 Seat of the Synod
1 Tolarian Academy
5 Mox
1 Black Lotus
1 Sol Ring
1 Mana Vault
1 Mana Crypt
2 Island
1 Plains
3 Flooded Strand

I hadn't really thought about the SB much but there are certainly enough blue cards to support FoW.

It also goes against the typical ravager/disciple kill in favor of a more controlling game plan and winning with either the master or just the small beats of canonist and frogmite.

I also wanted to fit Tinker in there which I like to use as an auto include in any blue deck. Still not sure how good it is just yet in here as I haven't tested it out fully.

You do know with the first build, Null Rod kills you right? As well as Energy Flux. Thats whats good about UW Affinity. Its not that affeced much by Null Rod and can take away a Flux.

UW is the best way to go now. You can drop a 3/3 (minimum) Master of Etherium on the first turn (thats your goyf).

Here is a UW Affinity deck that I played and placed a top 8 finish. It was sort of untested though and I just played it for the fun of it and to surprise people.

Unpowered UW Artifact Aggro

4 Master of Etherium
4 Ethersworn Canonist
4 Etherium Sculptor
3 Frogmite
3 Myr Enforcer
1 Darksteel Colossus

4 Force of Will
4 Thorn of Amethyst
3 Thoughtcast
4 Courier's Capsule
2 Echoing Truth
2 Sword of Fire and Ice
1 Tinker

1 Mana Crypt
1 Mana Vault
1 Sol Ring
1 Lotus Petal
4 Flooded Strand
3 Tundra
2 Seat of the Synod
1 Ancient Den
2 Island
1 Plains
1 Strip Mine
2 Wasteland
1 Tolarian Academy

SB:
It was bad. Last minute creation.  Very Happy

MVPs of the deck are Thorn of Amethyst, Ethersworn Canonist, and Etherium Sculptor. Thorn and Canonist against combo (mulliganed for it against combo) and Etherium Sculptor made my dropping of permanents faster. My losses were to two shop decks packing Goblin Welders and my loss in the top 8 was against Tez who just blew my face away with incredible draws and top decks.

Tinker-Colossus was just an inclusion in the deck but most probably I will remove it sometime.

From my further testing, I find Courier's Capsule to be better than Thirst for Knowledge. Capsule was better with a Thorn and Canonist in play. Thorn of Amethsyt was negated by Etherium Sculptor and makes me play more spells under Canonist. It also made my Master of Etherium larger. The hard part about Thirst for Knowledge was that if you have a Thorn in play, you pay extra. Now if you have Canonist in play, when you play Thirst, your opponent might do something to swing the game to his favor. Also, sometimes when I play Thirst, I have a hard time what to discard because sometimes, I need certain cards.

I also agree that Ravager and Master of Etherium are anti-synergistic. I'd rather stick to Master of Etherium since it can be pitched to FoW. Also the additional ability of Master of Ehterium to other artifact creatures is a good one making the clock faster for your opponent.

Really, its a fun deck to play and I really would want to see the development of it further. I'm testing right now if Scarecrone merits a place in the deck. Very Happy

i tested the version i listed in the first post, the only thing i changed was my sb - crypt + echoing truth.

round 1: mono red painter combo
no problem, he did not find combo whitin 5 turns, i won on beatdown. g2 needles helped alot. 2-0

round 2: ichoride
stupid me to exchange crypts whit echoing truth. the idea (that didnt work) was to block his ichoride too remove bridges en echoing truth for his tokens.
useless idea it apeared. 0-2

round 3: ichoride
same 0-2

round 4: kind of T1 pikula (sinkhole, discard, vindicate, stp, hippy ect)
turn 2 i had no cards in my hand and 4 creatures in play. 2-0

round 5: tendrails
no commend. he scooped twice turn 2. etherswon + sphere Smile 2-0

round 6: oath (DCS, eternal witness, voltekey)
twice turn 1 oath whit a 1/1 token for me. en turn 3 DSC walkover whit untop whit dam key.

3-3 for first time playing this deck aint bad because whit 4 crypt i would have probably won 2 ichoride matches.

to get back on your posts.

AbdullahTheButcher :

ravager + master --> one ot the 2 is needed for a large kill. if these are both in play ravager stays 1/1.

moon commend. the lands stay artifactmountains sow they count stil as artifact. its true it messes my manabase up but i have atleast a eathervail inplay or a good change of beatdown whit the creatures i have in play. moon hurst my opponent too.

welder controle aint a problem. you dont hav arti's in youre graveyard sow no swith whit lands vs master e.a. and whit needle sb i think this match is in my favor.

oath is a big problem and havnt solved it. who has a idea?

sol ring and mana vault are to slow for a good turn one drop. i'd like to have atleast 4 mana and i think the manacrypt and 5mox are just faster.i want a lock in 2 turns bepending on the deck i play against.

manabase whit non artifact lands slow the beatdown down. so no option in my oppinion.

adding welder same reason as i told vs welder controle. no artifact go to the grave.

SuckedBackIn:

nice decklist but i think the cranial platings are overkill.
Etherium Sculptor seems to me a waste of slots.
tinker DSC is a good idee.

Would Ethersworn Canonist with Erayo, Soratami Ascendant be considered winmore? Back when they went ban crazy shortly before Mirrodin rotated out, they had a deck called Erayo affinity.

I think you should include Ancestral Recall and four Thoughtcast.  In Affinity, Thoughcast ussually cost only {U}.  Five more draw cards would maybe help the deck draw more control elements earlier.
