Top 2 was a split, and Andy was actually playing R/G Stax.

Damn you Macauley, you stole my chance!

Just wanted to note that this is still happening every week, but Eric is slacking with posting the results due to the fact the new version of DCI reporter has no export text feature.

Smaller crowd last night, although a few new players, and a returning player.

Top 4 was:
Eric Dupuis - Tezzeret (UB)
JTL - Elephant Oath
David Leavitt - Tezzeret (UBg)
Matt Macauley - Stax

Play of the night goes to Eric in a side Legacy game in which he cast Cunning Wish to get Tsabo's Decree to wipe Matt O's board of 3 Tombstalkers.

Posting Top 4 is doable.  I just can't copy and paste anymore from the software, making it an event to get final standings up.  Until the DCI changes their software, this is what people can expect.  I'll do a total prize pool, along with the Top 4 standing.  If someone wants to nominate play of the night, I'll post the best one as well.

Not going was the play of the night!

JK! JK! I'll be back next week to donate my share to the top 4 :p

PS Iron Man 2 was fantastic for those who haven't seen it. Very Happy

The play of the night was posted because I found it hilarious - and even more so that the Decree was in a foreign language, so I had to even recognize the artwork.  Didn't remember it was an instant until you Cunning Wished and pulled it out though.

This Monday is a holiday, so I'm hoping for a better than average turn out.  All you Vintage players with Monday off, come on down and sling some cards with some of the best in New England.

A reminder that M11 will be legal for Monday Night Vintage this week, but due to sanctioning, will not be legal for Wednesday Night Legacy.

I could be wrong, but I believe it's just what Eric calls "Tezzeret" decks that have +2-3 Jace, TMS.

Yes, they're blue Planeswalkers.  At this point, I'm fully in the camp of Jace.  He's a draw engine on his own.  It's similar to how multiple Thirst for Knowledges or Gushes make it so your deck does busted things.  Jace, if he sticks, does busted things all by himself.  With Drain not being very good right now, the worst that happens to a careful Jace player is you get him FoW'd.  If he sticks, the game is often over in 1 or 2 turns.  I'm running Tendrils, so if I activate him 3x, I've probably found enough gas to storm out, or I'm literally discarding counters at my endstep.

I believe both versions are U/B Remora decks.  My list has been very slowly evolving.  I still fully believe that 5x Basics is far stronger vs Wasteland.dec than a splash color.  Repeal pulls a lot of weight vs those strategies, and there are plenty of on color answers.  When I have struggled vs them post board, it usually involves drawing multiple non-basics, and getting them wastelanded.  With so many basics, you often do not need to counter Null Rod, but can wait until you're in a position to bounce it and win.

It should be noted that I played like crap this week.  My build definitely requires playing well, much more so than many lists floating around right now.  Knowing when to eak out extra CA from Top tricks, when to hold back mana, when to use Repeal and on what, all make for many decisions which determine your chances of winning.  Even holding back accel is a real choice, as the gameplan is not always to Tendrils.  I find the deck to be rewarding, and when I'm playing well, it's a monster.

I've done well vs Shops.  The matches have often been close though.  Perhaps you two spectators should sleeve up some shops and make it by on a Monday and show me what Shops can do Very Happy
