Pre-reg me.

No, seriously....I cleared time on the calender and I am coming to this.

I invented a new deck that wins on turn 1 100% of the time, named "Bazooka-Cookie-Monster-Trashcan-Goyf". After I take down 1st place I'll write a condescending report about it.

Does it also play previously awful cards that you stockpiled extra copies of
to sell for profit after your new deck takes the metagame by storm?

Thanks to Myriad for another great event.  I split in the Top 4 with Rich Shay, Oliver Beaumont, and Jeff Carpenter.  Elves! made up like a quarter of the field.  Tezzeret seems to be going strong still - I believe 3/4 of the Top 4 was Tezzeret.

Wow.  Is is safe to say that vintage is at the point where you can just pop anything into a time drain/vault shell and be victorious?

(obv. these were choices for the meta, but still . . . wow)

I'm the only other legal target, so I draw 6 cards, and he literally quits Magic.

No, you can also put Timevault Key into another shell and still make top-4 split like I did with staxless stax.

Thanks again to everyone who attended. We had another smooth event with lots of fun for everyone. I've just returned from vacation, so I'm catching up on work. With our next event coming up in just over a week (Sunday, August 9th), we may skip the Top 8 decklists for this event unless we hear enough interest in typing them up. Just post here if you'd like to see them (beyond the two Top 4 lists that Jeff and Rich have been kind enough to post).
