Titties, Last tournament rocked the fuckin house.  Picked the best possible available date for this one, and stayed away from the holidays.  I know that there's a tournament down in philly this weekend, but I'm rather certain that we won't have any kind of conflict player wise.

You, obviously, and anyone that wants to play vintage at the most entertaining tournaments on the planet.  Except of course for dave feinstein who is in fact banned from every tournament I will ever run.

I don't remember enough about matches to give a decent report, but here's a briefing of how the day went:

Round 1:  Sam Best, wth Time Vault, ETW, Draw 7, Drain thing:
I win 2-0 because it's hard for his deck to play through Remoras

Round 2:  John Longo, with Tezz (Because you always get paired up with the people you drive with)
I got it in 3, I believe.  Close games most likely.

Round 3: Max, of N.Y.S.E. black market division, playing Hexmage, Null Rod, Sad Sac, Bob thing (the only match I remember at any length!)
I got this in 3.  I got blown out by an unexpected Sacrament game 1 (in culmination with infinite duress effects and confidants).  Game 2 I won with tendrils after patiently waiting for his bob to get him to around 12-14 life.  Game 3 was a barn burner.  Lots of fighting over stuff early to mid-game.  Pyroclasm nuking 2x hexmage.  Tinker for Sphinx eventually comes down and gets extremely close to sealing the deal.  Max is at 6 and I swing.  He darkblasts sphinx to a 5/5. I have the counter in hand and could win here, but instead let it happen and give him one more turn.  On his turn he makes a 20/20    Luckily, I play several repeals, one of which was in hand.  Next time, I go for the throat instead of being overly conservative with counters.

Round 4:  Travis Laplante - ID.  We played for fun.  He lost.  You have to un-quit the game eventually.  In the interim, someone else will have to make fun of me for eating power bars at tournaments.

Round 5: Nice guy who's name I forget - ID

Top 8:  Jeff Carpenter.
I won't go into any detail about this match, because I believe he was playing super-secret-tech.dec and I wouldn't want to spoil it for him.  All I can say is that the deck is neigh invulnerable, probably un-hatable and has so many lines of play it would make an average opponent suffer a game loss from stalling, as they won't know what the fuck to do.  It's a monster and you should all be afraid.

Top 4:  Jer - Tezz with 100% more storm.
I got completely blown out in 2 games.  I didn't see any spell that I needed at the right time, he flopped amazing FOFs and also Mind's desired for like 62.  Skeletal Scrying also drew him infinite cards.

Great Tourney, despite only getting 18.  If legacy weren't on the same day, we probably would have had closer to 30.

EDIT:
I remembered another detail about round 3, game 2.  I couldn't have won and would have died the next turn unless I saw Lotus off brainstorm during the turn that I won with Tendrils.  I said my prayers, ate my vitamins and believed in Hulkamania.  These things paid off, as it was the 3rd card down for the top.  Luh-key.
