I started this new thread so I could update the Calendar and get the latest info out there. I will update the THREAD TITLE to reflect next tourney. Original poster of last thread is MIA so here's the cut/paste of last thread: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eudemonia is back with our annual Power Nine series! We decided to run the event from August-May this season. For the veterans, you'll notice that we are not announcing the complete event ahead of time. This is to minimize rescheduling of events further down the road. We will commit to giving everyone ample notice and to plan with the best of our knowledge. The winner of the each event will receive a free bye in the final Black Lotus event. Without further ado.. Eudemonia 2009-20010 Vintage Events http://community.eudemonia.net/p9/Mox Pearl - Aug 30th, 2009 - Confirmed Mox Emerald - Oct 11th, 2009 - Confirmed Mox Ruby - Nov 1st, 2009 - Confirmed Mox Jet - Dec 6th, 2009 - Canceled/Delayed Winter Break Mystery Mox or Time Vault - March 7 Prize to be determined - April 11Time Walk - June 6, 2010 - Confirmed Ancestral Recall - July 25, 2010 - Confirmed Timetwister - August 7, 2010 - Confirmed Black Lotus - August 8, 2010 - Confirmed 2008 Winners Details [Format] Each tournament will be run as a series of swiss rounds, concluding with a cut to top eight. Besides for allowing proxies, all DCI rules for Type 1 Constructed tournaments apply. Blank decksheets will be provided and decklists are required for each event. For your convenience, you can download a blank decklist form here and fill it out at home. [Time] For each tournament, registration begins at 11 AM and play begins at Noon.[Location] Tournaments will be held at the Eudemonia store: 2154 University Ave, Berkeley, CA. Downtown Berkeley BART is two blocks away. [Entry Fee] The entry fee is $25 for each tournament except the last. The entry fee is $30 for the final Black Lotus tournament, except for those that win free entry from placing in previous tournaments. The entry fee also includes two free hours of computer time at Eudemonia good for the day of the event. [Prizes] First place receives the prize advertised for that event as well as a bye to the Black Lotus event. Additional prizes will also be awarded based on the number of attendees. [Proxying] The tournament format will be Type 1 with up to 10 proxies allowed. Any deck containing proxies must be sleeved with opaque plastic sleeves. Proxies must easily be recognizable as the card they represent from the face, and must be made such that they are not easily recognizable from the back or when shuffling the deck. Contact the store if you have further questions about the proxy policy. [Cancellation] With the exception of the final Black Lotus tournament, if fewer than twelve players register for a tournament, it may be cancelled.

Gentle Bump. Tourney is now on TMD Calender. I don't know how to get it onto Eudo Calender, but it might be there.
Team Vacaville will be there! (maybe with 3 this time!).

Sooo...I posted this on the other eudo thread, but this one is more relevent:
Just got an email from Channelfireball with a tournament schedule and it says their mox tournament for April is the 11th as well, I think because of the prerelease of ROE? Anyway, someone should change their date, maybe eudo can do Saturday? Double header mox weekend would be sweet!

Given how difficult it is to work with Eudemonia's scheduling, I doubt that it will be possible to reschedule Eudemonia's tournament.

The reno crew would be down for a double header mox tournament (10th and 11th at both places). I, however, can only make it to Sunday tourneys (I might just BARELY be able to make it to a 1pm Saturday tourney).

If any party should change their date it almost certainly should be Superstars since Eudemonia already had the 11th lined up for their tournament.

And sincce superstars pretty much said that they would always be held the third sunday of the month, Eudo planned accordingly. Maybe we can get someone with some pull there to talk to the scheduler, Web, LSV, or Fob?

I'm cool with Superstars just putting April on hold due to pre-release.

I talked to Brent and he said he will talk to Jon about it tomorrow. So something is going to happen, I hope.
I also think Stars moved it to 11th not only because of the pre-release but also a communication issue or a confusion about the 3rd Sun. is when the Vintage tourneys should be.
Keep figures crossed, double header would be sick; but I doubt that'll be the case.

Great! Given how difficult it is to schedule Eudemonia's tournaments in the first place, I can't imagine it would be doable to get any significant action on trying to reschedule it on such short notice. Hope to see everyone there. P.S. Eudemonia is looking at holding monthly Legacy tournaments as well, for large-ish prizes. Everyone bring your legacy decks to the vintage to start practicing

It is Sunday morning right now, Eric Campusano just told me that there is legacy at noon today... wtf? really? nice advertising if there is actually a tourney.

We want to thank Superstars and the messengers involved for rescheduling their event. The community will benefit for having a stronger showing at both events instead of being split at two separate events.
At the moment, we do not have a Mox Sapphire to give away. In its place, we will be offering $500 store credit to first place. Eudemonia has other power available and many other singles to purchase with the store credit. As always, other prizes will be paid out based on attendance. If we do get a Mox Sapphire in time for the event (we are actively looking for one), that will be offered as the prize.
I hope to see everyone at the event this Sunday.

We had a decent turnout of 12 players for our first legacy tournament (decent considering the lack of publicity), and Ryan Reynolds has promised me he will be more public about Legacy in the future. He plans on posting in the legacy forum on here, as well as various other Legacy internet meccas. I look forward to seeing everyone this sunday!

Just PM me and I'll post it.
There are players in Vacaville who would actually like to play some Legacy. Hell, I even have Extended Affinity which is easy to convert to Legacy.
See you all on Sunday! Me, Austin and 1 new member of Team Vacaville.

June 6 is next Eudemonia Tourney. I'm having difficulty with the TMD calendar, but just wanted people to get a heads up on this for now.

The next Eudo tourney is still tentative (hence the title change to this announcement thread). I will post confimed date when I can. I do not own an Ancestral Recall, so I really want to win one for $25.

No one really goes to GenCon from here anyways so it doesn't really matter.

I'm going to Gencon and I'm from here. And I have free entry and a bye to the Lotus tournament, so this sucks for me.

Is Gencon where they traditionally do the Vintage World Champion thing? Or is that Origins?

Gencon features the Vintage and Legacy World Championships. Though the turnout isn't really representative of the name.

Sucks for me too... Jul 25 and Aug 8 are pretty much the only two Sundays that I can't make it. Guess I lose a free entry and two byes.
