Seems like Trinisphere isn't all that popular of a card among shop players in Europe.  Interesting....

Seems like Trinisphere isn't all that popular of a card among shop players in Europe.  Interesting....

Doesn't do anything unless it comes down first turn.  It's also much worse on the draw.  Lots of conditions.  As a 4-of it would be fine because you could reasonably expect it in your opening hand often -- as is, it's not incredibly impressive.

Also, there's the big reason that it's pointless with multiple spheres in play...not to mention turn 1 trinisphere on the play gets a lot worse if you don't have a recurrable way to kill their lands (smokestack / crucible+strip lock).

TL;DR -- It's not good in MUD.

My game 1round 6 against oath went that way :
Turn 1 sphere
Turn 2 golem
Turn 3 juggernaut
Than beatdown with all my creatures + Mishr'as factory + spirit tokens, i have him on 3 life when he finally oathes on turn 3, and i kill him on turn 4, with sculpting steel in hand if he oathes sphynx of the steelwind

game 2 :
I made him uses his counters on both sphere, golem, jester cap, to finally stick a null brooch which will protect me from getting oathed/rebuilt while i finish him with mishra's factories before finding another creature to have a faster clock.

I'm assuming he hit Iona game 1 because Terastadon and Sphinx both would have bought him another turn to Oath into the other and cast more spells. Sucks that he hit his worst target against MUD but it happens. As for game 2 I'd really love to know what his hand was that he felt it necessary to waste a counter on a sphere in addition to not being able to hit or dig for a win condition in the 4 turns of no lock pieces you're describing followed by the other 10 of factory beats. Also depending on the build+sideboard I'd probably let Cap resolve if you had no board presence and I brought in extra creatures which would translate into like 6 turns of doing whatever he wants and all he has to deal with is a single sphere and not winning via key-vault.

Hausmann won the last two tournaments in switzerland and he was playing the same list as he was playing at BoM...
I like the Madness and the Remora list, both look fun to play...

When looking at the Madness list I remember the Squee Infestion list, that Top8 in 07 or 08 at a SCG tournament...

Holy crap that Remora and those MUD lists look so damn scary.

I could be wrong, but I think I've seen the winning MUD list card for card floating around on the tournament report board for months.  Hausmann's seems to be the same as well.
For what I know, this list seems very good. Played against it at two tournaments. Both times it kicked my ass. Not because I was unlucky, but it had a very good clock, and enough spheres. Most of the decks can't deal with both at once.
