150.

I think I'm being conservative.  If Hadley had 70, and nearly all of the NY, NJ and PA guys didn't show, that alone should push you well over 130.  Throw in some guys from Cleveland, DC, people who don't post on TMD and a Dutchman and I think you're going to crack 150.
ill go 151

I'd guess 110.  No Waterbury bingo?  Or am I just not finding it?

I honestly think this sounds low, if Hadley got 70.  The majority of PA's Vintage community is coming out to this, including at least a few casual Vintage players from the Philly area that have contacted me.  I will be disappointed if this doesn't pass 120 to be the largest Vintage tournament in the US this year and would not be surprised to see it hit 140+.

Maybe I'm just being optimistic, but the timing feels good for this.

I'm of the "Show me the money" persuasion.  It would be awesome if 150 people showed up to play Vintage, but I think realisitically there just are not that many Vintgage players out there to start with, and the probability that 150 will be free, able, and willing to travel on the weekend is unlikely.  I think that getting 110 players to show up on one day to play Vintage is an awesome accomplishment in and of itself.

No Waterbury Bingo?

If anyone is going to this from central PA / Philly area and has extra room, please send me a private message.

I'll pay well in gas and I'm good company.  I'm not driving my clunker up, so I need a ride.  Pretty plz.

Ok, dumb question. How exact to the guidelines to these proxies have to be? I'm trying the acetone method and it is going horribly.

Try erasing, I hear it takes more time but looks much nicer when it's all said and done.

I actually tried that first and it got me nowhere. I have some proxies I made (not ones people know me for) taht should work. If anyone gives me a hard time, then I can show them the 10 or so Welding Jars I destroyed trying to make 3 Moxen.

Acetone has been the best method for me.

Extremely fine grit sandpaper also works.

I went to school in NYC and currently live in Waterbury.

Just take Metro North to Waterbury.  It's $12.50 off peak from GCT one way and you can literally walk to the venue from the train station in less than ten minutes.

Eraser just takes time and some elbow grease.  If you want it to go faster use finegrit sandpaper or, IF YOU TRUST YOUR HANDS ENOUGH scape the card using an exacto knife, box cuter, chisel, or sharp knife.  Go lightly, taking only a little bit off at a time until you get better at this.  I have done a few like this.  But, for most of my proxies, I take a card and cover the front completely with black sharpie, then once it dries, write all the text in silver sharpie.  I have never had any problems with these.

That's pretty much what I just did. I added a little color by drawing said Mox.

With acetone you have to go slow, do it slow, in small areas and wipe it off with a cloth of something, also it helps if you use painters tape to mark the parts you don't want to erase.
With erasing, make sure you are using an ink eraser (usually gray) and it does take some time

I'm so depressed about missing this tourney.

If I was in your position and had to choose between the two, I'd have made the same choice that you made.  Watching your son's first soccer game is a memory you'll always have, and even if this is Waterbury, there will be more Vintage tournaments.

Hah, actually my son's game was cancelled!

But, to be fair, I'm going to be gone a lot over the next few months as I'll be living in Phillly half the time and in Brooklyn half the time.  I think this might be pretty tough for him, so I still think it was right decision to stay home this weekend.  But it is still killing me to miss the tourney!
