So, I was looking through the forums and realized there was no events in the "other" category for regional vintage events.  It made me sad that there are still places on this fine planet Earth that don't have a Vintage event to call their own.

As such, I am pleased to announce the ANTARCTIC VINTAGE OPEN

Where: Vostok, Antarctica, Just north of the Transantarctic Mountains.

When: Whenver you show up...don't worry, I won't be too busy doing other stuff.

Prizes(Based on attendance of 1*):
1st Place - A solar powered space heater and a foil playset of coldsnap.

There will be a door prize for the person who travels farthest to get to the event(and lives to tell the tale).

At the end of round 1(or the end of the tournament...whichever comes first, we will have a side event for thermal pajamas).

Pizza will be provided by Dominos(I know...impressive, indeed).  We will also be selling flavor-ice popsicles.

* In the event that 1 player does not show up, an equivalence of 13 penguins for 1 person is sufficient.

I was once asked on MWS, what the highest I ever finished at a TMD Open was.  I replied, "I've never played in a Waterbury.  I was then called "A TOTAL NOOB!"

My only question is, will there be Vintage trivia during the penguins' top 8?

Vintage is a lovely format, it's too bad so few people can play because the supply of power is so small.

Chess really changed when they decided to stop making Queens and Bishops.  I'm just glad I got my copies before the prices went crazy.

Seal Clubbing side event?

I suppose it's mostly the thought that this format is just one big Mistake; and not even a very sophisticated one at that.

I heard basic lands were actually banned for this event and you could use only snow-covered lands. This may have an affect on your attendence.....

Is this a proxy event, and would I be allowed to use foil proxied Power 9?

What, was it too soon for that joke?

I plan on taking this one down with meandeck iditarod tendrils.

Probably, unless Ray changes his mind and unbans the polar bears for this tourney.

I guess it will be too cold to untap more than one land per turn anyways...

Is this event going to be outdoors, or is someone going to build us a shack to play in?

Gosh darn, it is cold.
How to stay warm(This is a video category)
I still haven't found Superman's Lair
and Potppouri(Sp?)

Is this a proxy event, and would I be allowed to use foil proxied Power 9?

Forgot foiled...you have to use the special iced power proxies.

You have to build your own igloo for the tournament
The Mariott has a room block of igloos set aside for $89 a night.

6 weeks to go. Does this tournament count as trial for BoM5?

Oh, and btw:
I've already marked this on my calendar!
I tried this, too, and ran into unexpected difficulties...
