Another Successful event for Boston Vintage!  28 Total players, 5 Rounds of Swiss and then a Cut to Top 8.  While the turnout for this event was as big as the last one, if you consider the fact that this was a Sunday on a Holiday Weekend, it was still a fantastic showing.

Congtulations to Bobby Fortanely who will be the recipient of the NYSE Paid Entry.  (I'll see you in NY Bobby and I expect a rematch).

That being said, I spoke with the store owners and we will be scheduling another even for some time in August, so keep your eyes peeled for that!

Special thanks:
Pandemonium Books for hosting us and providing us with a great environment to play in and their continued support for the Vintage community in Boston

As always a great thanks to our Head Judge Elliot, and his staff (I'm sorry but I never did catch his name)

ELD as always for being a source for all our prize support needs.

All the new and returning vintage players who made it out for the event.  Especially those who made the drive from a bit further out.  Hope to see you all next time.

Thanks to Craig and Pandemonium for organizing this event; I had a great time. The vintage community in the Boston area is a bunch of really super guys and makes for a lot of fun.  It was good to see everyone.

Solid turnout despite the holiday weekend, hopefully we can make this a more regular thing in the area. Loved my deck despite just missing top 8, feeling very salty not making the cut and probably going to make the trek to NYSE now to run it back.

My list is missing 2x scalding tarn.

It was a good day for vintage, and everybody was really nice. Props to the winners, and thank you pandemonium for hosting the tournament. Awesome prize support and friendly players.

Looks like Marco Farrugia's main deck is only 55 cards.  Missing some lands perhaps?

Acually, Alex Brown's main deck is also short, it's only 57 cards.

Thanks for the proofreading guys. Both lists have been fixed:

Marcos was missing some fetches
Alex I had just put 1 Deathrite instead of 4

That makes a lot more sense.  I was wondering why he'd play 1 DRS Wink

Sure, are you talking like Martello vs Espresso etc?  I can probably take care of that some time tomorrow.  Unfortunately I'm at work now and won't be home till late tonight.

Updated OP with Shops breakdown.  The two Terra Nova Lists were a bit different than the original, but that was the closest approximation I could make. (See Brian Schlossberg's List)

Craig,

While i recognize what you're trying to do by branding the shop decks with existing decknames for organizational purposes, doing so is a bit pedantic and misses the point as a result.  The most important thing to consider when classifying the shop decks, either as an opponent trying to figure out how to beat it or as the TO reporting results, is what the game plan of the deck is.  My list was heavily meta-gamed for this tournament, but if it needs to fall into an existing bucket it is probably closer to an 'espresso' plan than a 'terra nova' one.

Cheers,
Brian

Updated and corrected.  That makes sense looking back at the list.  I originally was doing it from memory and knew you had run a lot of the same cards as the terra nova list (man lands, dissmember in the main etc.)  Sorry for the mixup.
