We've got swans and weird goat-birds in this forum but no horse so far. What do Workshop pilots think of this colourless Bitterblossom?
Akroan Horse - 4 Artifact Creature - Horse (R) Defender When Akroan Horse enters the battlefield, an opponent gains control of it. At the beginning of your upkeep, each opponent puts a 1/1 white Soldier creature token onto the battlefield. 0/4
He would certainly seem tasty with Skullclamp, Tangle Wire and maybe even has a place in the latest Affinity builds (with Signal Pest for example). I'm guessing he compares unfavourably with Genesis Chamber in the latter, but is perhaps less build-around-me.
Thoughts?

In some contexts, this might be spam. Here, honestly, I think it's an insightful response to the opening post. Look, the horse basically generates a 1/1 each turn for 4 mana. In exchange, your opponent gets another permanent to tap or sac to wire or stack, another artifact to fuel tinker or academy, and a blocker to nullify your factories and revokers. How is that a good idea? If you really, really want to generate tokens each turn for free, then Throne of Empires is better. It costs 1 to activate, which is virtually free, and it doesn't give your opponent goodies. And it's completely unplayable. Alternatively, you could run trading post, or just go whole-hog and run Thopter Assembly to get all the dudes at once. Plus, as you mentioned, Genesis Chamber is flat out better in the kind of shop decks that spam 1/1s. In short: unplayable.

You also get Myr Turbine for more, which has the added benefit of making a Myr immediately and the off chance of going big and getting a Myr Battlesphere or something lategame.

This is as unplayable as Ebony Horse. Why does this get its own thread? I'll take that bet I'll even let you choose the decks. There's no 56-59 card stack to which you'd rather add 1-4 Ebony Horse than 1-4 Akroan Horse that stands any chance against the format. I'm not claiming that either card is good, only that Ebony Horse is worse.

Ebony Horse, however, has the decency to be blatantly obvious about how bad it is, so no one puts up threads contemplating its usage. Akroan Horse, on the other might, might look decent enough to fool some people. In other words, yes, Akroan Horse is a Trojan Horse.

I lol'd. This card is completely unplayable. It's slow and when it finally does get going, it doesn't do all that much. For four mana I get a 1/1 the next turn? And I have to have a Skullclamp to get value out of said 1/1? This does nothing to address the fact that I'm clearly playing an aggressive strategy, and I've just given my opponent a pretty nice blocker that he's going to love throwing in front of the next big threat I play. Am I playing Lodestone Golems in this deck? Seems like I am, given that I'm probably running Mishra's Workshops. Doesn't that mean that this card effectively reads something like: pay four mana, tap your Lodestone Golem, sacrifice this creature, make a 1/1? I've yet to see anything that I'm even moderately interested in from this set. The bar for Vintage is set extremely high for a reason.

I'm open to being wrong there, but I'm going to have to see it to believe it. I'm very certain that I'm not wrong here though. It serves a better function than some of the other situational counters. It is a one mana hard counter for Instants and Sorceries with an effect. That effect COULD be a draw back, but it can also be taken advantage of. It is great in and against Oath. Denying Oath triggers or even getting your own (against them) is the real deal. It is great in other places as well. With the overall movement to a creature driven format, the 2/2 evasive body is significantly less threatening than in the past. Obviously against MW it's almost the worst card in the world, but we already have cards like that in Mental Misstep, Flusterstorm, REB, and Spell Pierce all seeing some amount of MD love in the recent past. It will be a 1-2 of in many Blue lists. edit: horse picture:
