I'm going to start paying people from NY to come down and punish all you baddies for not respecting Workshops.

Overall a great day, I'd like to see more of these!

We're listening...

Congrats to Andy Farias for the win!  The free entry list to the N.Y.S.E. Open has been updated to reflect current standings.

From the reports I read the workshops numbers were low all around.  We had two I know of, But I don't think anyone was under prepared for it.

I think I saw two Workshop decks, and one Two Card Monte deck that runs Workshops. It did seem like a lot of the Dredge and Workshop players this time around were newer to the format and as such a little inexperienced with some of the things they could potentially do.

Its like dredge is the new shops here.  How many dredge decks were there?  I feel like its a high number.

I played against Dredge rounds 1 and 2, but never saw anyone else playing it personally. The deck that stood out to me as being very well represented was BUG. There were also quite a few UW Tempo-Control style decks at the top tables, though that's a very vague description as they were all pretty different from one another.

I know I saw at least three different people on Dredge, one of who I played against. I didn't see the guy who top 8'ed the last event with Dredge, I think his name was Caleb?

I guess I wasn't counting two card monte as a shops deck....Looks like I should.  So there was three.  Two stax players and one two card monte.  I got to live the storm dream and dodge all of them.

BUG felt solid as usual, but sometimes you get got by combat tricks in eternal formats and your true-name gets bopped by orzhov pontiff

After looking at the turnouts of the other THREE tournaments scheduled 4/19, it's clear Craig is throwing some of the best vintage parties around.  Special thanks to Craig and everyone who came.  It was my best performance yet finishing 4th with TPS.

Can confirm.

I know I saw at least three different people on Dredge, one of who I played against. I didn't see the guy who top 8'ed the last event with Dredge, I think his name was Caleb?

I played Dredge, a friend was playing Dredge and I played against another player playing Dredge in round 3. So that's 3 at bare minimum. There was definitely more Dredge than I was expecting and consequently more Dredge HATE than I was expecting.  Sad

I will have the meta game breakdown out sometime in the next few days, but I can confirm there were 4 Dredge players at least.

Glad I was sick and couldn't make it there then.  I would have made 5 Dredge players (felt like the right call after studying the meta from the previous one).  Thought I would have taken people by surprise.

apologies for still not having the TO Report up for this.  It's been a hectic week. I will try to have it up Sunday night.
