The big news of the day is that I have purchased TheManaDrain from Star City Games.

The purchase price wasn't cheap, but this is a labor of love, and I think it's worth it.  I hope that I prove a worthy steward.

That being said, there are going to be some changes.  TMD has been known as a Vintage website for its entire existence, but with the surge in popularity of the art, I think it's important for us to give more ground to this new aspect of TMD.  I have some ideas for more content, and there will be changes to the structure of the website as we move forward.

I'd also like to focus the site on some of my other passions, most notably my love for the New York Yankees.  TMD'ers who are also baseball fans will now have the opportunity to discuss the Yankees on the forum in a more open way.  I've been toying with the idea of creating a Yankees discussion subforum. Naturally, discussion of the Red Sox, David Ortiz and any recent non-Yankee World Series wins will be added to the list of prohibited topics. Perhaps I'll combine Vintage Issues, The Suicide Black Forum and The Mountain Wins Again Forum and rename it the Red Sox Forum to keep out the riffraff. Meddling Mike raised some vocal objections to this idea in the Moderator Lounge, but maybe I'll compromise and demote him to a local moderator of this new Red Sox forum.

Finally, and perhaps most controversially, I am considering re-naming the website in order to more accurately portray the direction that the site is going in.  The first name to come to mind is TheArtistsWorkshop, which I think conveys both my love of Mishra and my love of art.

Welcome to the new TMD!

I frowned, then I giggled.

This is certainly one way to stop people from arguing about the reserve list, eh?

You should create a sub-forum for soccer (the real football here in Europe :p)

I didn't understood what was happening in the forum hahaha!

Also, can we put the Null Rod Aggro Control thread back in place for Cleveland Indians fans?

Hey, they made the post season on a raft made from two palettes, some bailing wire, and the bloated corpse of Jason Giambi. That's a fair comparison for a deck that nobly goes 3-2 and barely makes T8.

As long as the Cardinal's have their sub-forum, I'm ok with the changes  Wink
