Having played in some excellent tournaments at Pandemonium and Scholars, I wanted to see if there was some interest in some larger vintage tournaments in the Rhode Island area. Here are the details for the first of (hopefully) many to come. Date: May 10 2014 Time: 1:00 PM Location: The Incredible Pulp 140 Point Judith Rd #40, Narragansett, RI 02882 (401) 788-1007 Format: Unlimited Proxy Unsanctioned Vintage Event Entry: $25 At 8 players , A LIBRARY OF ALEXANDRIA for the Winner. At 9-16 players, prizes for second place, third and fourth place. At 17+ players, prizes to the highest finishing unpowered deck, and highest placing zero proxy deck. At 8 players, the tournament will be swiss, rather than single elimination, too allow people to experience the format, with no cut, the two 2-0's can split or play it out. At 9-16 players, It will be swiss plus one (five rounds) cut to top 4. At 17+ players it will be a straight cut to top 8 single elimination. Modified play draw rule in all cuts to top 4/8. Hope to see you there! I wanted to directly upload the photos of the library here, but i couldn't figure out how to do it. As such, I hope the link below to an album on my facebook page works, so you can see the library in all it's glory. Also, a local alterist has given us a handpainted black lotus to give away as a door prize! https://www.facebook.com/david.matthew.nunez#!/david.matthew.nunez/media_set?set=a.10153032609320663.606370662&type=3

Draw7 has seven posts currently, how cute D:
I'll talk to some people, and see what I can do. I'd surely like to promote more Vintage, and make the dreams come true of those who wish to create new communities and events after experiencing the wonder of those that already exist.

As much as I would like to make this event, it falls on a day that I sadly am already busy. I'll look forward to seeing how it goes though and hopefully making any future events.

I'm interested. However, I work later that night and Narragansett is a bit far from Boston. Perhaps we could carpool. Hmmm...

While I'd live to use the same standard pandemonium has in the past, I'm gonna play it a little loose in regards to proxies as the locals don't neccesarily know what all the cards do, so there is upside to allowing printouts in sleeves. If there is any issue with really sloppy proxies I'll have sharpies and basics on me and they can reference the picture out of the deckbox.

Paper proxies are fine. Mostly just for clarification. It gives me the option of playing several decks.

This was a great success! 17 players. A lot of familiar faces. Can't wait for the next one!
P.S. Courser Gush is really good.

How will Baghdad prosper with no Bazaars!? This is unacceptable, you have all brought the community down with you, be ashamed. Buy local.

It was an awesome event and I'd recommend it to others. The match I played in the top 8 was some of the most intense magic I've seen in a while, with both of us being at one life game one, and then game two having some long six spell counter wars.
