Thank you. The person's name is Andy Booth. He's admitted that he's been selling cards that he stole from me bit by bit to both Pandemonium and Comicazi. If you have ANY information about dates/times that he's sold things, please contact me - I've been in touch with the police and any information will help. This is an old picture, lately he wears a white hoodie, black sunglasses, is thinner, has a beard, and a shaved head. He's about 5'9" or so.

Attention to all Boston area magic players: I've had the main heart of my collection stolen from me. If you see these for sale please let the store and me know. Vintage UB control deck including but not limited to: 3 Underground Sea, white border Signed altered mana drain with tentacles in black sharpie, signed by mark tedin with gold sharpie English mana drain, near mint 3 Jace tms very good condition 4 dark confidant very good condition 4 polluted delta very good condition 2 Snapcaster mage, very good condition All might be in a Mox deck box with Mox sleeves. Various vintage staples like tutors etc. A damia edh deck possibly in green sleeves with fetches and shock duals, various $20 staples in some unknown number A kaervek edh deck in black sleeves, several hundred worth of assorted rares Somewhere in the realm of 60-100 cards of good trade stock varying from $5-30 each. Maybe $2000 worth total, I'm not sure. I don't have an index. Please help and share this around. If you know if/where they were sold please let people know. I have a description of the thief and if not returned shortly I'll be filing a police report. Any info will help Deck Box: This may have been taken This would be in the UB deck.

One of the things I really like about it is the (new?) Feature that automatically saves all your game replays. I think its just a series of screen saves everytime there is an action. This could be a great analysis tool/teaching aid that requires nothing extra to install/monitor. I suspect that you can save/send the file to other people to watch. Can anyone confirm?
It records each conversation with the server, so it's more than just screenshots.

I'm not sure I understand what the complaints are about. It seems to me that Cockatrice is actually in violation of Hasbro's copyright. In what sense are they not copying MtG close enough to be considered violating the copyright. The game is the same and the cards even have the graphics on them, unlike MWS. The interface actually looks like MODO's. Is this just a case of wanting to defend something you like or is there actually any substance to this disagreement?
I remember being shocked that MWS was left to exist unhassled back when I use to use it. Cockatrice is even more similar to MtG. I'm pretty sure most, if not all, people using Cockatrice consider what they do on there 'playing Magic'. What's the difference between writing a book and having someone else distribute it for free and what Cockatrice is doing to Hasbro?
Those images were never distributed though. Even the links weren't distributed. The user generated a file containing links to the images that live on hasbro's servers, and all the software does is take that file with a list of links and download them.

Having trojans on installed computers is extremely profitable. You can direct a botnet to mass attack a website to bring it down, distribute spam emails, distribute illegal material, sniff your connection for passwords to anything you log into, sniff for credit card info, bounce connections off to disguise the source of future hacks...

Anecdotally from my own experience, Mana Drain is fantastic against shops - when you're even in the game, it drastically helps swing it in your favor. Having it in your deck means that any time you can muster resources for a two-mana spell, you can negate one of their mid game turns completely (given that outside of the first few turns, they don't usually cast more than one spell)

Adan's experience is the same as mine, using him in a typical jace-bob-timevault deck. He's also fantastic null rod insurance since a 5/5 trumps about everything except ooze and goyf, which both die to doom blade or deathmark or perish

I'll have the mod team keep an eye on him. Suggested feature for cockatrice: karma. You can up/down vote a user if you've played against them for at least 15 minutes AND you have 20+ karma yourself. To seed the system, you just hand out 30 karma to 100 or so users you know aren't douchenozzles. This has been discussed a ton of times, and it's not going to happen. The potential for abuse is far far higher than any possible benefit.
