I think this is a clear indication that he was afraid of us and knew our utter ineptness at handling the drakonids was a front all along. Dying a lot of times to make the guards believe that you are no threat to them. Now there is a new tactic

Good night last night, Got Nefarian to phase 2 on every attempt... fewer guards left each time. Healers,MT getting practice on the transistion... the rest of us getting better at controlling the leftovers. 30 minute timer = colossal pain. So far we've had red drakonid's every week, which bothered me at first, but I figure if we can do it with reds we can do it with any... just like learning on time lapse chromaggus. One of the raiding guilds on the server had just killed nef the first time last week, but never had to fight time lapse chromaggus.. this week they got him and now they're stuck. Is it wrong that I enjoy that?

The thing about Time Lapse is that it's actually pretty easy.
The difficulty is created by its bugginess, which is apparently corrected in 1.9.

Updates?
I'm up to rank 11 doing AB, but zomg is it a boring grind or what. I'm basically just doing it to help out a couple guildies who are now rank 12/13, but I'm thinking if I manage to make it to rank 12 before they're done, I'll push for it myself.

Still on Nefarion. Holiday schedules and some idiot players screwing up the instance reset have really hurt our attempts. Last time we got there we absolutely punked the drakonids (bringing along sulfuras seemed to help, go figure). He may go down this week. I think we'd have gotten him last week except that we missed a fear ward and lost control around 63%.
Btw, the corrupted infernals in the warlock call are enslaveable... our raid leader doesnt want me screwing around with them during the encounter, but it seems like this 'special ability' of nefarion's is to give me an extra 150dps...
I'm currently on 7/8 Nemesis... my only remaining loot in the zone is on nef(robe, staff, trinket).

So we decided that Nef had stopped SliverKing from getting his full tier two set for long enough, so we killed him because it seemed like the thing to do. Updates should be up at Darkfireguild.org in the morning.

New art on my full Nemesis set + Staff of Dominance is awesome... The nefarion fight is really fun once you get past phase 1... phase 1 just annoys the hell out of me (exactly like razorgore)
Anyone been able to beat Hakkar since the patch? You cant outrange the corrupted blood anymore and it fires off at lightning speed. The rest of the zoned got pretty nerfed... but Hakkar is nuts. oh and the berserkers are bugged and crash the whole raid about 50% of the time.

We're not working on rep. An alliance guild already hit neutral and got that started.
We're just working on NR gear, the outdoor green dragons, and farming for the war effort.

Same, but insert posse of Horde guilds instead of Alliance.

How close are your servers to opening the gates? I'd guess we are ~60-65% on supplies.

Gate has been open 1 week, we are taking our first huahuran attempts tonight I dont like the Sartura encounter... mostly because you can die for no good reason at all. Loot in AQ20 is horrid for the difficulty Loot in AQ40 is mediocre at best. Not very enthused at all. Also very upset that blizzard is making encounters that are dependent on loot from contested bosses (NR gear from green dragons)

Huhuran can be beat without killing a single Green dragon.
However, it would be nice if you had more options in getting decent NR gear.

We got Huhuran to 4% last night, so we're feeling a downing tonight. I've been farming DM West like crazy for a fucking pair of NR gloves that won't ever drop. AQ20's fucking cake. I find it much much much easier than ZG, and while yeah, the loot's not as good, the books at least give you a reason to go.

AQ20 is stupid... obnoxious fights for so-so blues but you have to go for the books
You CAN kill huhuran without loot from the dragons... but tell me that malfurions signet and all the acid inscribed stuff isnt hugely important.
I cant imagine trying viscidious without it.
For the gloves TracerBullet, dont forget the archanid gloves in RFD. easier to solo-farm

I will agree with you on Viscidious, at least based on the one world wide kill.
Not enough reward vs. effort there.
And who puts NR gear on the most NR dependent fight in the game?

Well, I started in June (I thought one used their account name for buddy list things ) and I might've stayed on Draenor, but I knew a bunch of people on Gorefiend so I went over there. My main is a 60 UD Priest which I had join an end game raiding guild in late December. I now have 5 piece Prophecy, Halo of Transcendence and a recently aquired Benediction which I tossed +55 healing on I also have a 60 Troll Hunter alt that has a Dragonstalker's Helm from one of our alt Onyxia runs (to get more scales). We've gotten BWL down for the most part (when people decide to like, play well) and have started AQ 40, though we're holding off on that a bit until we've downed Nefarion. Liz also joined up so she's in with me as well (60 UD Mage). I'm thinking about starting a character on Draenor, not sure I wanna do a Warlock since I don't know a whole lot about em, but maybe a Warrior, Rogue, or Druid. Let me know what you guys need and I could get started on it soon and with some help power level to 60 over Spring Break. Conflicting raid schedules might be a problem though :\ It's cool to hear that there are so many TMDer's pwning the noobs on WoW and grats on Thunderfury Our Rogue leader just got one a few weeks ago which coincided with our first Chrommagus kill (it really is cheats on boss fights). I'm not sure what I wanna do with regards to loot from AQ because I want to at least keep a 3 piece Transcendence bonus and I -like- the 5 piece Prophecy, but it really isn't that insane (+2% crit ftw). The new Priest talents look INSANE. I'm gonna try out a PvP Holy build

Huhuran to 3%... so we tried a potion run... 18%... LOL I'm confident we'll get her next time, just a little more NR gear and she'll be down. It feels silly to go farming for greens, but whatever it takes.

I'm Mythic Sliverking = Clank Triple S = Chrystania Phantom Tape Worm = Bressmilx Thorme = Thorme
All I can think of at the moment. We're all in Darkfire.

Update: Major guild drama, lost a good month or 2 to a quitting spree and subsequent recruitment drive. Got things back together and finally dropped Huhuran last week.
Started making attempts on the Twin Emps last night.
Seems like a very winnable fight. Just going to need some practice with keeping the bugs clear and timing the teleport... for some reason our mods werent warning us.
Has anyone found a trick to avoiding the Unbalancing Strike? It seems fairly random, so I'm not sure if it is avoidable... but like Onyxia's Deep breath it can really screw up a solid attempt.

Assign priests to shield after unbalancing strike, and the other debuff he does( I can't think of the name). It usually provides us enough of a barrier to stop the tanks health from fluctuating. If you're going full consumables, no one is going to have mana problems, so it shouldn't really be an issue. The 15 minute time limit is the bitch, as if you lose a few people early, you probably don't have the DPS to kill him.

Could always quit WoW, sell account, and spend all the money in a strip club for a night.
I would absolutely rather shake hands with ben franklin for 15 mins then fight the same boss in WoW, raiding in warcraft sounds even more boring then Everquest.

Anyone Kill C'thun yet?
We seem to have problems with the same 5 or so people dying in phase one every time, and end up overwhelmed in phase two. The fight isn't all that complex, but I expect to just randomly pull everything together one night soon and get him down. Our best atempt is 80% phase two, thus far, though I don't think we've made it their without at least one person dying.
