When I could play it, Prosbloom was fun. The original combo deck that still shat out too much. It was still a blast.
Counter-burn was great. Recurring Hammers, and later Shard Phoenixes, to wipe out your opponents dudes was very fun.

Keeper is my all time favorite deck to play.
But, closely in second was my Ashen Ghoul, Nether Shadow, Smokestack deck.

I used to play a Blue White control deck with 3 mana crypt to power early Jester's Caps and Jayemdae Tome and finish someone off with Millstone, Factories or Mirror Universe.
This was back in the day that if you used the Mana Crypt mana before the end of your upkeep you did not have to play the flip game.
I won many a beta bolt with that deck.

Counter Sliver, and before that, anything with slivers. Slivers were the best substitute for skill ever.

Prosbloom and Rath Cycle counterburn are my favs. Also, the U/R Academy decks from Urza Block only were fun to play.

My favorite decks were circa 1997-1998. I had great success in the keeper-necro-zoo field with:
Drop of honey/Deadly Insect/Abyss/Control....later became a version of keeper (Morphling/Abyss)
Nicol Bolas/Bazaar of Baghdad/Animate Dead (with ashen ghouls, krovakian horror, etc)
And of course going way old school: Magical Hack/Karma deck (always a blast)

Necropotence is my favorite cards ever, and combined with a love of combo/ruining other people's fun I have more fond memories of early extended Trix than anything else. Actually Trix was my favorite deck right up until they rotated Illusions.
Following that would have to be the old 4x Necro black weenie decks. Black Knight is still the best creature ever printed.

Living Death, with all the spikes and recurring nightmare. Before that, the all red flanking deck. Before that thalids were awesome. Fungal Bloom all the way.

My 3 favorite decks to play:
1) Necro decks, especially Firestorm versions and later on Trix. Oh man those decks were a pinnacle of MtG deck construction for their times.
2) 4 Vise Zoo. Secretly, on the inside I really want 4 Vise back.
3) 4 FoF Keeper. Just because you could spend countless, countless hours playing it and never get tired of saying EOTFOFYL.

My R/W Flank-Knight deck. It was like 20 lands, 30 flank knights and 10 (bad) utility spells like Lightning Reflexes and Giant Strength.
Am I the only one that's sad they never drafted Mirage block?

My mono green erhnam/ifh biff deck that actually won me a tournament while everybody was shouting it had no chance untill they saw it at work.
Next to that my common red green revised deck that won me 50 dollar (which at the time was a lot of money as i was a student) as i won the tournament with it.
Then there were the black and white necro decks that were way to good.
But one of my favorite decks of all time was my phedalgriff deck. Serendib, together with phedalgriff, swords, giant growth, psionic blast and scryb sprites. Just to funny and still pretty good.

It's not really "old school" but I started playing in Planeshift, so my favorite deck to play was type II Mono Black Control Featuring corrupt/soul burn/cabal coffers as the kill. It beat the crap out of anything with creatures.
