A thanks to Eric and Dave for another great monday night.   I must say, all these squirrel decks are beginning to degenerate the format, but at least some brave players were willing to mix things up a little with vault/key decks.

I lol'd. I'd like to get some credit for first saying the phrases "red squirrels" and "black squirrels" though.

You get more than just credit for the squirrel name, you get credit for being the first to bring squirrels to bridgewater as a viable vintage deck.  You're the squirrel princess in my book.

Looks like a great place to play..  I just mapped it and would take me around 10 hours to go.  If there are any really large events there, I will try to get a group together for a carpooling weekend coming from the DC area.

There's gonna be an ELD tournament in september, that could be worth the 10 hours, Dave handed out the flyer last night.  I dont have it on me, but I'm sure there's gotta be someone here who would be kind enough to post the date and time.

EDIT: Please don't refer to people as "post whoring" I'm sure there's a place on TMD for categorizing every prolific poster other than yourself as a post whore.  We don't need this string being shut down. Try to keep the comments limited to the results.

Yeah, ELD's mox 26 will be coming to Scholars.  It's most likely worth the drive

I guess i was the first couple days.  I am sitting in kuwait working on computers all day with an hour or so of "work" to do.  I am not sure where i will be living when i return so I have been trying to find places to play anywhere.  I am iether going to end up in maryland by DC, near Austin Texas or if I get really lucky back near my home in Ohio in Columbus.  If your store had an event for power pieces, that may warrant a long drive but store credit i suppose wouldnt really be worth it  Wink

I'm not going to bother posting the list only because meadbert just posted his most recent testing results. It obviously needs more arcane denial before it can be taken seriously.

With no time limit last night, we saw just how much fun can be had with the proper cards.  1 Bill Rosa + 2 Divining tops +1 time vault +1 key + no time limit=the best magic night ever!!!

I played Steppe Lynx with like 9 fetches and 8 duals it was still fucking terrible. Some of the fetches were new and off-colored. Ravenous Trap in the board was not relevant.

I ran bloodghasts in addition to Ichorids, last night. I'm stilll doing a lot of tweaking and I know most would say not to play both, but Ichorid has still been better because his recursion really seems easier. Also he puts himself back in the yard at times where you can't do it yourself and you wanna just accumulate zombies. The build is still a mess, but I boarded out bloodgasts and some bloodgast support pieces during my game 2s and I think the deck ran great in it's absence.

Yeah, that's probably the main concern i had with bloodghast too. It's incredibly difficult to get rid of the thing, unless you play Sadistic Hypnotist, so they often slow you down.

In some versions of the deck, I was hoping to have more than 4 Ichorids, and thus I would probably add 1 or 2 of these dudes (especially with Dryad Arbors Very Happy). Mind sending me your list (or posting it here, although I don't want to hijack eric's thread).
