Special Shout Out to Ryan Reynolds (Eudemonia's head judge) for getting his deck build in today's Magic Article on such stuff!

The good news is that we're getting the dates hammered out for the recall and lotus tournament.  The recall tournament will be in October after the Scars of Mirrodin release.  We'll have a date posted soon and I'll make a forum thread announcing the date.  Again, thanks for everyone's patience.

Does anyone ride down from the Sacramento area who would be interested in a car pool if they ever reschedule these last 2 events? Just curious as my Durango eats gas faster than a Gorilla Shaman can eat moxen.

If you can make it to Vacaville, you can transfer over to the LotusMobile.

Hey everybody, I don't know about scheduling these events, but I'm sure they're on the agenda for the future.

However, if you'll head on over to http://eudemonia.net, you might notice that Eudemonia has radically altered their singles selling system, and re-arranged their buy and sell prices on singles to be way more competitive. I'm very excited about this change!

Those of you with some store credit banked would do well to give them a call and get your credit moved over to the new system.

With this change accomplished, I am optimistic about prospects for increased turnouts in future events. This was somewhat of a hurdle to accomplish before putting them on the calendar, so I think we'll be seeing some more power tournaments scheduled soon.

Gah...  Is this ever going to happen?  I'm going crazy here.  I haven't touched a Magic card since Gencon.  If Eudemonia doesn't have an event soon, Vintage may actually die.  Please schedule this soon.  Not 11/13.

Not really, but I'll bring it up with Dean and see what we can make happen.

I also just remembered that part of the prizes they gave out at the other tournaments were Free entry into the lotus tournament and byes in that tournament, which makes it pretty crappy to not hold it... Sad

Indeed, I believe I'm still holding free entry and first round bye to the Lotus tournament from 2nd place in the Emerald tournament in, uh, 2009? Is that right?

True.  Gambit and I split in the finals of one of the tournaments.  He took an extra $40 in store credit, and I took the free entry and first round bye in the Lotus tournament.  It's starting to look like he got the much better end of that split.

Last time I talked to Ryan Reynolds (head judge), he assured me that he has continually been pushing for the last few tournies, and that though whatever Eudemonia's issue is, is still unresolved, but not forgotten by Ryan.

If it makes you feel better, the first and last Eudemonia Vintage Power 9 Series tournies, were won by me. Smile

Sure, Web & Co won probably 20 in between, but the first AND last... That's a legacy! Smile

Yeah, I'm disappointed in the way this is turning out too. Props to Superstars for keeping their monthlies going though!

Ya seriously. I stopped by Eudo yesterday and they had some time vaults and that solo beta mox jet. I'd certainly enjoy playing for at least one of those if the Lotus never materializes.

I would gladly play for a Time Vault or Beta Jet in lieu of Sapphire and Lotus (which with Twister) were remaining prizes.  I told head judge Ryan Reynolds at the last tourney (over a year ago), that many players would probably approve of a Time Vault substitution for power.

I agree completely. Workshops, bazaars, mana drains, sets of FoW, Imperial Seal, whatever - the point is to get a kickin' rad prize in there, not that the prize be "in this particular set of 9 rare cards from A/B/U that at some point became known as the 'Power 9'." Don't be afraid to be creative if that's what it takes.

Eudo is going to be running Legacy, btw, early September. I understand cool prizes may be involved there too - ask Ryan for more info on that.
