I'm a little behind on the TO report I owe you guys.  As most of you know, I had surgery a few weeks ago that made typing suck.  I plan on getting it posted over the next week, including an updated Player of the Year Standings.

Blue Bell Game Day #10!

    Saturday, November 20th, 2010
    Alternate Universes
    1530 DeKalb Pike
    Blue Bell, PA 19422

   Vintage Event

Start Time: 12:00 Noon (Registration @ 11:00 AM)
        Entry Fee: $30
        Format: Vintage
K-Value: Unsanctioned, 10 proxies allowed for free. You can purchase up to five more proxies at $1 each.
        REL: Competitive (like a PTQ)
Decklists will be required (and published).

The Prizes: (these prizes are based on +/- 45 players, and will definitely go up if we have more)
        1st Place: UL Ancestral Recall
        2nd Place: UL Mox Emerald
        3rd + 4th Place: $120 in table credit
5th-8th Place: $60 in table credit

2010 Player of the Year Race:
This event will count towards Player of the Year 2010! Players can earn points throughout the year by playing vintage, each match win is worth 3 points, each draw is worth 1 point, and each loss is worth 0 points (just like the swiss points system used in tournaments). Players in the Top 8 will be awarded bonus points based on their finish, as follows:

        1st place: 12 points
        2nd place: 9 points
        3rd + 4th place: 6 points
        5th - 8th place: 3 points

Vintage Side Event:

Start Time: After the last swiss round.
        Entry Fee: $10
        Format: Vintage
        K-Value: Unsanctioned, 15 proxies

        Prizes:
        1st Place: Italian Mana Drain
2nd - 8th: Based on the number of players.

My Player of the Year contest has nothing to do with Wizards of the Coast Player of the Year contest.  Do not confuse the two.  Mine is for participants in my unsanctioned Vintage tournaments.

I'll be there! I got to make this month's schedule at work, so naturally I made sure to give myself this day off. It's good to be the king!

You are coming.  I am abducting you.  Again.

Alright I will reschedule my birthday party just so I can go to bluebell and beat radio!

You are a champion amongst champions James Hangley.  I might even watch Radio for you, just for that.

Or Casino.

Or any one of the other movies that I've been mocked for not having seen.  Like Rocky.

Your actually not allowed in PA now until you see this movie. Any event in PA should actually cost you double because you haven't seen this movie...

If you want to talk about great movies that few people have seen, we could talk about that.  Pretty sure Rocky isn't going to change my life.  Have you ever seen The Great Dictator?  Or Dr. Strangelove?  How about Being There?  They were all excellent, and I would highly recommend them.  There are more, but divergent tastes in movies may separate us.

Peter Sellers fan much? Both great movies by the way, I was never that big a chaplin fan so i missed great dictator.

I'm a big fan of Sellers.  And I think that Being There has remained topical, 30 years after it was produced.  That's quite the feat.

You should check out The Great Dictator.  It's a 'talkie' and it's a damn good one.  One of my favorite films of all time.

In other news, New York will be taking this event down.  You PA guys don't have to worry about showing up.

Hey Nick, any more room in your car?

As things stand now, no.  I believe that the car is Egan, JP and Jimmy.  If I'm missing any of those guys, you're set.  I would talk to Big Rob about making the trip though, I think that he would be interested in playing for an Ancestral.

Shh, Ralph, you're not supposed to let everyone on TMD know what's in your personal collection.  They might start to suspect you, and Jackie might ask some awkward questions...

You're forgetting about the american classic that is Air Bud: Golden Receiver. That movie is pure genius.

Every Air Bud movie was cinematic genius.

The titles alone are brilliance.

Air Bud: Golden Reciever
Air Bud: World Pup
Air Bud: Seventh Inning Fetch
Air Bud: Spikes Back

Seventh inning fetch! Come on. I think the movie poster needs to be made into a playmat
